Chapuis Spikes the Turn to Double Big Through Azor

With around 8,000 in the pot and a flop of {2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{A-Spades}, Henri Chapuis bet 7,500 and put the pressure on Ron Azor, who moved all in after a few moment's worth of thought. Chapuis quickly called off the 10,000 or so he had behind and tabled {A-Clubs}{3-Spades}, which was behind the {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} of Azor.

The dealer proceeded to burn and turn the {5-Diamonds}, which was a dagger through Azor's heart as it gave Chapuis a wheel. Azor needed a three on the river just to chop, but it wasn't in the cards as the {8-Spades} peeled off.

Kuether vs. Cajelais

Joe Kuether
Joe Kuether

After a player had raised from the cutoff, Erik Cajelais three-bet to 4,300 from the button. Joe Kuether then moved all in from the small blind for 19,600, the original raiser folded, and Cajelais made the call.

Showdown
Kuether: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Cajelais: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Kuether had Cajelais crushed, but a glimpse of concern crossed his face when the {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop gave his Canadian foe an aded gut-shot straight draw to a four. Luckily for Kuether, neither the {Q-Hearts} turn nor {6-Hearts} river changed a thing and he doubled to 50,000.

Fleury Runs Kings Into Gibert's Aces

We're not sure of the betting, but we do know that Fabien Fleury found himself all in preflop for around 10,000 with {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and up against the {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} of Sylvain Gibert. Fleury was clearly unhappy with the predicament so close to the money, and he made a hasty exit from the tournament floor when the board ran out an uneventful {5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.
