Kovalchuk's Aggression Outmatched By Duthie

From under the gun, Faraz Jaka opened with a raise to 1,300. John Duthie reraised from late-middle position to 3,400, and then Oleksii Kovalchuk reraised to 7,500 from the cutoff seat. Play folded back to Jaka, and he also gave it up. Duthie opted to call and take a flop.

The first three community cards were {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} with Duthie passing the action over to Kovalchuk with a check. Kovalchuk fired 8,200, and Duthie check-raised to 23,000 after a minute. Kovalchuk thought for a minute, then folded, and Duthie won the pot.
