The exact preflop action was unknown, but Timothy Adams opened, Sergii Baranov called, then Lifeng Chen reraised on the button. Adams and Baranov both called to see the flop come out . After Adams and Baranov checked, Chen fired 33,000. Adams folded, but Baranov had other things in mind and check-raised to 66,000 after a minute of thought. Chen called.
On the turn, the paired the board. Baranov slid forward a tall stack of gray T5,000 chips for a bet of 105,000. Chen smeared his hand across his face in disgust, then folded.
"Fives good?" said Baranov as he turned over the to rub the bluff into Chen. When Chen saw the fives, he shook his head and couldn't believe it.
"What's wrong, you have no balls?" Baranov continued as the table laughed.
A few seconds later, Baranov added, "You know what we do in Ukraine? We eat soup... with brains... brains of our enemies. Just ask Eugene [Katchalov], he's from Ukraine and he knows."
Over the course of two hands Paul Tedeschi just increased his stack by nearly 260%, what a way to start Day 3 of the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event!
First he busted Jonathan Little. The flop read when Little got his chips into the middle after unknown action. He showed and was trailing Tedeschi's . The turn brought the and the river the ending Little's tournament.
Just a few hands later the following happened. Anara Alekberovas raised under the gun to 4,800 and Phil Hellmuth, who was directly to his left, called. Tedeschi called from the small blind, as die Ping San Chan from the big.
The flop brought out and Tedeschi checked. Chan had around 40,000 chips left and he decided to move all in. Both Alekberovas and Hellmuth folded after which Tedeschi called.

Ping San Chan:
The board ran out , and Chan was knocked out. Tedeschi took a huge leap right at the start of the day, and he's now sitting very comfortable with around 110 big blinds.
Keven Stammen opened for 5,200 under the gun and received a call from Nicolas Cardyn in middle position. The rest of the field got out of the way and it was heads-up action to the flop. Stammen bet 6,100, Cardyn called, and then both players checked the turn.
The action repeated itself on the river and Stammen confidently rolled over for a rivered set. Cardyn mucked his cards and watched the small pot pushed to his opponent.
Christopher Brammer checked the flop and Eugene Katchalov fired 10,000. After a minute, Brammer fired in a check-raise to 30,000, and Katchalov folded.
On the next hand, Katchalov opened the pot with a raise to 4,800 from early position. Remi Biechel reraised from the cutoff seat to 21,300 and won the pot.

The flop came down and Hellmuth fired a continuation bet of 27,000. Pergolizzi called and more paint hit the board when the fell on fourth street. Hellmuth slowed down with a check and Pergolizzi checked behind. The duo checked once again when the rivered.
"I missed," said Hellmuth.
Pergolizzi showed for a turned pair of queen and took down the pot.
"Wow, he calls twenty-seven thousand with king-high," lamented Hellmuth. He slammed his hand on the table. "You wanna give me the money? You want to just give it to me? I accept, buddy."
Action folded to Philipp Gruissem on the button, and he raised to 5,000. From the big blind, two-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Jason Mercier called and the two were off to a flop.
The flop came down , and Mercier checked. Gruissem checked behind, and the dealer added the to the board on fourth street. With the board now paired, Mercier fired 4,300, and Gruissem called.
