Event #7: €10,450 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event
Day 3 Started
Welcome to the PokerNews coverage of Day 3 of the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event. Yesterday's field of 230 players saw the combination of runners from Day 1a and Day 1b combine to battle for WSOP glory. At the end of the night only 77 players remained in the hunt for the WSOPE Main Event title. With the top 48 making money, it is almost certain that the field will cash today. The man currently closest to achieving that goal is Sergii Baranov who is sitting on a massive stack of 607,000.
The combination of the two starting fields saw the elimination of many notable names. Among those who were eliminated from Day 2 play were Joe Hachem, Isaac Haxton, Mohsin Charania, Scotty Nguyen, Phil Ivey, Chance Kornuth, Antonio Esfandiari, October Niners Greg Merson, Russell Thomas, and Jacob Balsiger, and start-of-the-day chip leader Michael Mizrachi.
While those saw their WSOPE Main Event come to an end, many of the game's biggest names are still in the hunt. Phil Hellmuth worked up a stack of 364,900 which is good for the fourth biggest stack in the room. Joseph Cheong (328,400) and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (326,700) were also able to breach the top ten in chips. Also returning for Day 3 are Daniel Negreanu (290,000), Dan Smith (274,500), October Niner Jesse Sylvia (209,000), last year's champion Elio Fox (201,300), Liv Boeree (140,800), Eugene Katchalov (123,900), Steve Dannenmann (65,000), Jean-Robert Bellande (50,300), and many more.

The cards are in the air for Day 3 of the 2012 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event. Bubble, here we come!
The flop read and Phil Hellmuth checked. JC Alvarado bet 7,000 only to have Hellmuth make it 22,000.
"That's what I do, kid," Hellmuth said. "I check-raise."
Alvarado sat thinking of what action to take on the hand.
"Throw it away, kid, I'll show ya." said Hellmuth.
Eventually Alvarado agreed and threw his cards away. Hellmuth turned over for absolutely nothing.
"You raise my blind and I think you're weak, I'll raise you," Hellmuth said as he scooped up the pot.
Max Silver just raised under the gun and Mazlum Acar was his only caller from the button.
The flop came down and Silver bet 6,200, Acar quickly called.
On the turn the hit and Silver grabbed chips again. He threw out 12,800, and once again Acar called quickly. The river brought out the , and after a ten-second pause Silver threw out 30,000. Acar folded quickly and Silver took down this early pot.

"31,300," we heard Justin Bonomo say. When made our way over to discover that he had just doubled through October Nine chip leader Jesse Sylvia and was announcing the amount due. We're not sure of Sylvia's hand as the dealer had already mucked it, but we do know Bonomo held on a board reading .
"I'm not gonna lie," Sylvia said after the hand. "Getting you off the table and getting chips looked like a win-win there."

Out on the 4th hand. I got top pair vs better top pair in 3bet pot for 30bbs. I guess I could have avoided it if I was a super nit.October 02 2012Follow
