[Removed:138] Eliminated in 20th Place (€26,611)

[Removed:138] - 20th
[Removed:138] - 20th

[Removed:138] opened for 22,000 from the hijack and was met with a three-bet to 50,000 from Christopher Brammer on the button. The blinds both got out of the way, and Guinand came back with a four-bet to 100,000. Brammer thought for a few moments and slid out enough chips to cover his opponent, and Guinand called off for right around 305,000 total.

Showdown
Guinand: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Brammer: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

There have been a lot of pair-over-pair confrontations in Level 19, and this one would cost Guinand his tournament life as the board ran out {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Guinand shook hands with his opponents before exiting in 20th place, while Brammer was pushed the big pot and vaulted into the chip lead.

Vadzim Markushevski Eliminated in 21st Place (€26,611)

Vadzim Markushevski - 21st
Vadzim Markushevski - 21st

After action folded to him in the cutoff, Vadzim Markushevski raised to 22,000. The button folded, and then Stephane Girault opted to three-bet to 71,000 from the small blind. After the big got out of the way, Markushevski moved all in and Girault snap-called.

Showdown
Markushevski: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Girault: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

It was another brutal setup over at Table 10, and there would be no chicanery as the board ran out a clean {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Girault, who had his opponent outchipped by just 42,000, was pushed the pot while Markushevski took his leave in 21st place.

Hellmuth and Seiver Clash

On a {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} board, Phil Hellmuth checked to Scott Seiver and checked behind. The {2-Spades} completed the board and Hellmuth shot a bet of 80,000 into the middle. Seiver slowly counted out his chips and made the call.

"Ace-king," said Hellmuth, tabling {A-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

Seiver mucked his cards and Hellmuth dragged in the pot.

Cheong Takes Some From Adams

On a {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, Timothy Adams fired 32,000 and was quickly called by Joseph Cheong. The {7-Clubs} fell on the turn and both players checked their option. The {3-Hearts} completed the board and once again they both checked. Cheong showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Adams mucked his hand.

Andy Frankenberger Eliminated in 22nd Place (€26,611)

Andy Frankenberger - 22nd
Andy Frankenberger - 22nd

Andy Frankenberger got his stack of approximately 150,000 all in preflop and was at risk against Sergii Baranov.

Showdown
Frankenberger: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Baranov: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

It was a flip, but not after the flop fell {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades} and gave Baranov a set. Frankberger stood from his seat, and then after the {9-Hearts} turned, Baranov said, "Goodbye." It was a bit on an unintentional needle, but Frankenberger, a two-time bracelet winner, kept his composure and made a gracious exit after the {6-Hearts} was put out on the river.

"Now THAT's Poker, Buddy"

Phil Hellmuth opened to 25,000 from under the gun and his sole caller was Sergii Baranov from the cutoff. The dealer spread a flop of {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and Hellmuth fired 30,000.

Baranov wasted no time dipping into his stack and coming out with a raise to 80,000.

"Ugh," Hellmuth groaned as he took his headphones off. "They told me about you, Sergii. You flop aces and eights on me? Alright I check dark."

Hellmuth called and checked dark to Baranov as the {Q-Spades} rolled off on the turn. Baranov checked behind and the {4-Clubs} completed the board. Both players checked again and Hellmuth showed {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Baranov mucked and Hellmuth took the pot.

"Now THAT's poker, buddy!" said Hellmuth as he took down the pot. "You fire 50k into me and I snap you off with two tens with an ace on the board."

"Phil, can I tell you something?" asked Scott Seiver from across the table.

"No, I have to focus," replied Hellmuth.

"It's really important," said Seiver.

"No, I can't even hear you," said Hellmuth as he put his headphones back on his ears.

Seiver stood up from the table and walked over to Hellmuth. He reached over and took the headphones off Hellmuth's ears and said "You know what really bothers me? You treat me like the rest of them." said Seiver to Hellmuth with a smile.

Hellmuth busted up with laughter as the dealer dealt out the next hand. We're sure as the day progresses the banter at this table will continue, especially with Seiver constantly quipping to Hellmuth.

Kohlberg Spikes a Ten to Double Big Through Tedeschi

We're not sure of the preflop betting, but we do know Curt Kohlberg got his stack all in with {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and was dominated by the {Q-}{Q-} of Paul Tedeschi. Fortunately for Kohlberg, the {10-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop hit gave him a set and the lead. He was out of his seat pacing the room while a clearly disappointed Tedeschi looked on. Neither the {8-Spades} turn nor {3-Spades} river would help the Frenchman, and he saw a large portion of his stack sent over to Kohlberg.

Vladislav Varlashin Eliminated in 23rd Place (€26,661)

Vladislav Varlashin - 23rd Place
Vladislav Varlashin - 23rd Place

Scott Seiver opened with a raise to 20,000 from early position and Vladislav Varlashin moved all in for his last roughly 56,000 from the next seat over. The rest of the table folded back around to Seiver and he casually announced a call.

Seiver: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Varlashin: {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Varlashin was sent home in 23rd place. With this elimination, Seiver has boosted his stack to about 335,000.

Joe Kuether Eliminated in 24th Place (€26,611)

Joe Kuether - 24th
Joe Kuether - 24th

Action folded around to Joe Kuether in the cutoff and he raised to 20,000. Max Silver, who is looking to make back-to-back WSOP Europe Main Event final tables here today, then three-bet to 50,000 from the button. Both blinds got out of the way, Kuether moved all in for 271,000, and Silver made the call.

Showdown
Silver: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Kuether: {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Silver had made a good call, but that doesn't always get rewarded as evidenced by the {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop, which paired Kuether's seven and gave him the lead. The {2-Hearts} turn gave Silver some added outs, but it'd be the {A-Clubs} on the river that would win him the pot. Kuether didn't seem all that surprised and quietly made his way to the payout desk as the day's first elimination.
