Sebastian Kos Calls Down Korochenskiy

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

With around 1,600 in the pot and the board reading {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, Anatoly Korochenskiy checked from the hijack to Sebastian Kos on the button. Kos bet 1,200 and Korochenskiy check-raised to 3,200. Kos made the call and the {5-Hearts} landed on the river.

Korochenskiy fired another 4,000 and Kos called. Korochenskiy showed {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} but Kos held top two pair with {a-Spades}{9-Spades}. Korochenskiy is now down to under 5,000 at the first break of the day.

Balint Next Casualty

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante
Micky Blasi

Two big pots played out over on table 83 and one of them would essentially end up in the elimination of Olivian Balint.

Adolf Kern bet a three-way pot on the {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop for 5,100 from the hijack and forced two folds including Salvatore Camarda, who mucked the {7-Clubs}. "I had better," Kern said and admitted in table chat he had pocket kings.

Soon after, the turn showed {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Micky Blasi on the button bet 4,450 to force a fold from Darren Delahunty in the big blind. Balint called and the {7-Diamonds} river was checked to Balint, who moved all in. Blasi snap-called for 1,025 and was shown {10-Spades}{6-Spades} for a pair of sixes only by Balint. Blasi had {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the flopped straight and doubled, while Balint's remaining 500 chips vanished the next hand.

Small Pot for Chauriye; Miegel Busts to Matejka

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

The stack of Jakob Miegel vanished and was sent over to Dominik Matejka while Ricardo Chauriye lost a small pot against Marc MacDonnell before scooping another against Jaroslav Peter.

Chauriye raised to 400 and MacDonnell three-bet to 1,200 from the hijack, which Chauriye called. On the {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, the Chilean check-folded to a bet worth 900.

One hand later, Peter opened to 300 from the button and Chauriye defended his big blind. Chauriye proceeded to check-call a bet of 300 on the {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} flop and 1,200 on the {A-Hearts} turn. The {A-Spades} river was checked and Peter mucked to forfeit the pot.

MacDonnell Takes a Hit

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Marc MacDonnell raised to 400 from under the gun and Chris Ferguson three-bet to 1,500 from the big blind. MacDonnell called and the flop fell {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Ferguson continued for 2,000 and MacDonnell tagged along to see the {3-Spades} on the turn. Ferguson bet another 4,000 on the turn and MacDonnell laid his hand down.

Just a couple of hands later, Jaroslav Peter limped from under the gun and Marc MacDonnell raised to 600 on the button. Aleksandar Tomovic called from the big blind and Peter re-raised to 2,500. MacDonnell called and Tomovic folded.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Peter checked to MacDonnell who bet 1,600. Peter check-raised to 3,300 and MacDonnell still called. The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {j-Spades} on the river. Both players checked again and Peter tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. MacDonnell mucked his cards and Peter raked in the pot.

Gumz Departs; Auer Arrives

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante
Fabian Gumz
Fabian Gumz

The cards were already rushed away while Fabian Gumz was spotted leaving the tournament area. After his ill-timed bluff with the ace-ten earlier, Gumz only had 2,000 chips left and lost those just now with {K-}{10-} versus {A-}{9-}. Gumz flopped an ace but running diamonds gave his opponent a flush.

At almost the same time, Robert Auer arrived with a ticket in the hand and sat down to enter the competition.

Pettersson and Follet Chip Up

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

On the heads-up turn of {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Maxim Lykov bet 650 from the cutoff and Romain Follet called on the button. The duo checked the {8-Hearts} on the river and Lykov turned over {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for a busted gutshot and queen-high. Follet had {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a rivered pair of eights after failing to improve to a flush and raked in the pot.

One table over, Felipe Ramos bet the three-way turn of {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for 600 on the button and picked up a single caller in Thomas Pettersson. Both checked the {J-Clubs} on the river and the {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} of Pettersson were good enough to win the pot.

Follet Picks Up Pocket Kings

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Maxim Lykov raised to 400 from early position and Romain Follet three-bet to 1,100 directly to his left. The small blind called along with Lykov to see the flop of {9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.

The action was checked to Follet who continued for 1,500. The small blind called and Lykov got out of the way. The turn brought the {9-Hearts} and the small blind checked again. Follet instantly bet another 3,000 and was called by his opponent. The river landed the {q-Hearts} and both players checked. The small blind tabled {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} but Follet showed {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} to earn himself the pot.
