Mustafov Busts Vardjavand; Hellmuth Gone

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Toni Vardjavand got his short stack in with the {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} on a flop of {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and fahredin Mustafov looked him up with {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for the open-ended straight draw and the {9-Diamonds} turn instantly improved the Bulgarian. A blank {3-Spades} on the river failed to improve Vardjavand and he joined the rail.

Alex Foxen mucked his cards after two players showed a king-high straight, which was not the nuts in this case, but Foxen failed to beat that and headed to the rail. Soon after, Phil Hellmuth's fight with a short stack came to an end as well and Rifat Palevic's aggression took a big pot off Dominik Paus.

Paus checked the cutoff on the {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{J-Clubs} turn and called a pot-sized bet of 48,200 by Palevic before checking the {7-Diamonds} on the river. Palevic shoved for around 55,000 and Paus reluctantly folded, he was then shown {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs} by the Swede.
