"You can Each Pick One of them"

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

With around 25,000 in the middle and the three-way turn showing {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, the small blind checked and Mike Leah bet 25,000. Phil Hellmuth in the cutoff eventually folded, as did the small blind, and Leah said "you can each pick one of them," sending over his cards to the small blind. Hellmuth declined, which prompted the small blind to turn over two cards - it was the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for a set.

"Wow, I had suited queens," Hellmuth added and Leah raked in the pot with a big grin on the face.

Barbarez and Kortas Bust Opponents

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante
Stanislaw Miadzel
Stanislaw Miadzel

On the flop of {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}, Sergej Barbarez bet the pot and his opponent Mustafa Jukovic raised all in for what appeared to be 55,000. Barbarez quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Mustafa Jukovic: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Sergej Barbarez: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The {9-Clubs} turn improved Barbarez to a straight and Jukovic needed the case ten in the deck to avoid elimination. Instead the {6-Spades} on the river improved Barbarez once more to a flush and the Swede headed to the rail.

Another Swede was involved in an all in situation on a different table and that was Ghattas Kortas. he looked up Stanislaw Miadzel for 25,800 preflop to create the following showdown:

Stanislaw Miadzel: {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Ghattas Kortas: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

On the {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, Miadzel picked up a flush draw and Kortas wanted to turn away. The {2-Clubs} turn and {7-Clubs} river avoided the diamond draw and instead gave Kortas a club flush to eliminate Miadzel.

Back in 2015, this very event had a buy-in of €3,250 and attracted a field of 161 entries. While the prize pool may not be as big, the number of entries has surpassed the previous event already and the registration is open until the end of the following level and the dinner break after that.

Ayoub Remains in Contention

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

"Now I only need six more doubles," Jules Ayoub said after tripling up his short stack to 22,400. Ayoub had been all in preflop while Liran Twito and Jan-Peter Jachtmann headed to the {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop. Twito moved all in for 7,400 and Jachtmann called.

Jules Ayoub: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Liran Twito: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Jan-Peter Jachtmann: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The {K-Diamonds} turn and {4-Hearts} river completed the board and Ayoub improved to a straight while Twito doubled through Jachtmann for 7,400. Twito doubled once more soon after while Jachtmann, still a big stack, no longer holds the most chips at their table - that honor belongs to Hakim Zoufri now.

Riding the Roller Coaster

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Jan-Peter Jachtmann sent Jules Ayoub and Liran Twito to the rail to boost his stack while Ghattas Kortas was all in and at risk for around 55,000 with {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} versus {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} on a flop of {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Both turn and river bricked and Kortas missed out oh his gutshot and nut flush draw to exit.

Simon Trumper had to leave the table in the very next hand, while Aleksandr Orlov was unable to beat the two pair of Eli Elezra and also headed to the rail from one table over.

The Next Four-Way All In

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Terry Jordon
Terry Jordon

Dominik Paus was all in for 9,000, and behind him followed the all ins of Terence Jordon and Igor Sharaskin, while another big stack folded. But there was also Mustafa Jukovic who got his stack in and that created yet another four-way all in.

Dominik Paus: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Mustafa Jukovic: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Terence Jordon: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Igor Sharaskin: {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The board came {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and Paus quintupled up thanks to then fifth player in the hand while Jukovic tripled up for 28,000 and Sharaskin sent Jordon to the rail for the smaller side pot.

Paus from Zero to Hero

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Rifat Palevic's pot-sized bet on the {J-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs} river was called by Nihad Kvrgic and Palevic turned over {K-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a set of deuces, while his opponent said "well done" and mucked {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Soon after, the always active Palevic bet the {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop for 16,000 and Mustafa Jukovic called before Dominik Paus moved all in. Palevic asked for the 16,000 chips to be pulled in and Paus was at risk for another 27,500. Palevic folded and Jukovic eventually called.

Dominik Paus: {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}
Mustafa Jukovic: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The {5-Spades} turn and {7-Clubs} river were blanks and Paus, who only had 9,000 a few hands ago, raked in another massive pot. But that was not the end of it yet.

Nihad Kvrgic was all in for 8,000 and another played moved all in for 12,200. Jukovic, Paus and Palevic all called and the flop fell {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Paus bet the pot and that forced out Jukovic and Palevic. Paus flipped over {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, while Krvgic had {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}. The third player in the hand held {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{6-Hearts} and the {K-Clubs} turn and {J-Diamonds} river chopped up the remaining chips of Krvgic.

Jukovic lost most of his chips the very next hand and was left with a mere 4,000.
