Kortan Busts

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

"He played every hand, that's why I called him with eight four," Albert Hoekendijk said after he had just sent Veysel Kortan to the rail. A big stack not long ago, Kortan lost most of his stack against Fabio De Nardi after flat-calling a raise with {10-}{5-}. While Kortan flopped bottom two pair, De Nari turned trips jacks to counterfit his hand and Kortan went broke.

Soon after, Kortan was all in for just 19,600 on the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop after a check by Hoekendijk and another player. Hoekendijk called out of the big blind and the other player folded.

"Maybe I will triple you up," the Dutchman said and turned over {8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for the flush draw. Kortan had {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for top pair and the {3-Spades} turn and {5-Clubs} river sealed his fate.
