Verbakel Doubles Through Klejnowski

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Remco Verbakel shoved all in on the button for 412,000 with {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Przemyslaw Klejnowski called from the big blind with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

He flopped two kings, but Verbakel was optimistic about the river card. He called out, "six!"

The final board completed {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}, giving him the six he needed.

Hofmann Takes Two

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Przemyslaw Klejnowski raised to 50,000 and Albert Hoekendijk three-bet to 175,000 in the hijack. Abdelhakim Zoufri in the big blind gave it some thought and elected to fold, as did initial raiser Klejnowski.

Over on the other table, Thomas Hofmann raised to 55,000 from early position and picked up two callers in Lukas Soucek on the button and Waldemar Kopyl in the big blind. On a flop of {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, Kopyl checked and Hofmann's bet of 90,000 won the pot uncontested. Hofmann raised to 55,000 the next hand and won the blinds and antes.

Kings for Sonmez

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Abdelhakim Zoufri raised and fellow Dutchman Albert Hoekendijk just called to see both players check down a jack-high board. Zoufri showed {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a flopped pair of nines and Hoekendijk mucked {A-Spades}{K-Spades}.

Erkan Sonmez won the last hand on his table after his raise was called by Willem de Jong and Stanislav Koleno in the blinds. The action checked to Sonmez, who bet 70,000. Koleno folded very reluctantly and was shown {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

The private duel between Rene Crha and Serghei Lisiy also continued and the starting contest ended seven minutes into the break. Crha opened to 40,000 on the button and Lisiy just called. On the {9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop both players took time before checking and did so again on the {K-Hearts} turn. Lisiy bet the {6-Hearts} river for 52,000 and Crha's raise to 135,000 won the pot.

Sonmez Doubles Through Verbakel

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

After a Remco Verbakel check, Erkan Sonmez went all in for 190,000 on the {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop. Verbakel was the lone caller. He had {k-Spades}{9-Spades} against the {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} of Sonmez.

The turn was the {a-Clubs} and the river was the {3-Clubs}. Sonmez earned the double up.

Crha Doubles; Promises Trouble for Lisiy

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Radek Castka raised to 50,000 and Rene Crha three-bet to 120,000 from one seat over. Castka moved all in and Crha beat him into the pot to create a showdown for more than one million in chips.

Rene Crha: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Radek Castka: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The board of {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts} provided no help for Castka and Crha doubled for 574,000. Serghei Lisiy tapped the table loudly with a grin and Crha smiled back over to his nemesis from earlier, added "I am going to destroy him."

The Action Slows Down

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Remco Verbakel raised to 42,000 from early position and Artan Dedusha called in the big blind. The board of {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts} was checked through entirely and Dedusha showed {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. Verbakel grinned and mucked {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} while the action on both tables has slowed down with an average of almost 50 big blinds.

Hofmann Takes from Toebbe

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Thomas Hofmann raised to 45,000 from the hijack and Johannes Toebbe three-bet from the cutoff for 125,000. Hofmann glanced over at the stack of his table neighbor and called. Both opted to check the {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop and the {J-Spades} turn. The {8-Spades} river completed the board and Hofmann bet 112,000 to force a fold from Toebba.

Kopyl Doubles Through Lauck

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Waldemar Kopyl went all in for 343,000 from middle position and Jonas Lauck called from the big blind. Lauck had {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} against the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} of Kopyl.

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and, despite Lauck's big draw, Kopyl won the hand and doubled up.
