Verbakel's Hot Run Continues

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Anastasios Parisis
Anastasios Parisis

Down to just 34,000, Anastasios Parisis got his remaining chips in with {A-}{3-} and big stack Remco Verbakel had an easy call with {A-}{7-}. The kicker played to eliminate Parisis, who took home €3,989 for his efforts.

Almost flying under the radar as of lately has been Vlado Banicevic, who sits next to Verbakel with close to one million in chips as well.

Alessandro Laubinger
Alessandro Laubinger

At least for the third time today, if not more than that, Alessandro Laubinger doubled with ace-king against pocket jacks.

Fadil Isufi raised to 26,000 and Thomas Hofmann three-bet on the button to 60,000. Laubinger four-bet all in for 222,000 and Isufi folded, while Hofmann called.

Alessandro Laubinger: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Thomas Hofmann: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The board came {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} and Laubinger doubled to half a million in chips.

Chun Ho Law
Chun Ho Law

At almost the same time, Grzegorz Reczko and Chun Ho Law were sent to the rail. The first one to go was the Brit after getting his stack in with the {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and Remko Verbakel called with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. The board came {J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and that was it for Law.

Hofmann and Urban Tangle Again

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
David Urban
David Urban

Fadil Isufi opened the button to 22,000. David Urban and Thomas Hofmann called from the blinds.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Urban checked. Hofmann bet 35,000 and Urban raised to 139,000. Hofmann called. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and the two quickly got all in. Urban held top pair, top kicker against the set of fours held by Hofmann, {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

The river was the {9-Hearts} and Hofmann would double up thanks to his flopped set. These two players have been playing big pots against each other for a while now and currently Hofmann has gotten the best of it.

Toebbe Doubles

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Johannes Toebbe faced a limp by Albert Hoekendijk on the button and raised to 50,000 from the big blind. The Dutchman moved all in and Toebbe called for his last 206,000.

Johannes Toebbe: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Albert Hoekendijk: {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

After a board of {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Toebbe doubled and Hoekendijk's stack was cut down to around 300,000.

Two More Down The Drain

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Michal Zielinski moved all in for 128,000 and fellow countryman Jacek Skiscim said "Are You Serious?" before calling all in for slightly less from two seats over.

Jacek Skiscim: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Michal Zielinski: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The board came {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and that left Skiscim empty-handed.

Gert-Jürgen Niewerth ran into the nut flush of yet another player from Poland in Przemyslaw Klejnowski and that brought the field down to the last 34.

Small Add On for Crha

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Piotr Zawadzki patiently waited for his chance to double and eventually got it in with the {6-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Big stack Rene Crha looked him up with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and Zawadzki could all but smile after being left drawing dead on the turn of a board {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. The field was reduced to the last 36 hopefuls and a table broke to make it four tables remaining.

Verbakel Without Showdown

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

After a raise by the player in under the gun, Radek Castka called on the button and Remco Verbakel filled up from the big blind. The initial raiser bet the {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop for 26,000 and both called. After the {9-Hearts} turn no action followed before Verbakel bet the {4-Diamonds} river for 40,000 and that forced folds from both opponents.

Hofman Doubles Urban

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

David Urban's raise to 22,000 on the button was followed by a three-bet to 58,000 by Thomas Hofmann from one seat over in the small blind and Urban called. On the {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop, Hofmann continued for 52,000 and Urban called before the {J-Clubs} on the turn was checked to Urban. The Slovakian bet 68,000 and Hofmann check-raised all in, which Urban snap-called for his last 270,000 immediately.

David Urban: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Thomas Hofmann: {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

The {8-Hearts} on the river was already a formality, as Urban had turned the nut straight, and Hofmann had to forfeit more than half of his stack.
