Gompers Eliminated by Denishev

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jan Gompers
Jan Gompers

Jan Gompers raised to 14,000 and Philippe Bouhnik called in the cutoff. Aleksandar Denishev from Bulgaria moved all in and had both Gompers and Bouhnik covered. Gompers gave it a lot of thought and the clock was called on him, he then called for the last 100,000 and that forced out Bouhnik.

Jan Gompers: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Aleksandar Denishev: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Denishev flopped top pair on {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}, but Gompers had outs with the flush draw. Neither the {7-Hearts} turn nor the {2-Diamonds} river brought any help and Gompers was gone in 19th place. All remaining 18 players will redraw to the last two tables on Day 1D.

Bednar Wins a Big Pot Off Kabrhel

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

While 17 of the 19 remaining players were already in their final 15-minute break of the day, Jan Bednar and Martin Kabrhel clashed in a big pot. Until the {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{K-Hearts} river a pot of 175,000 emerged and Kabrhel checked. Bednar bet 55,000 and Kabrhel was deep in the think tank.

The break had started some 10 minutes ago and Kabrhel eventually called, Bednar showed {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for the full house and won the pot. Bednar is very close behind Flavio Decataldo, who appears to be the current chip leader.

Kessler Busts to a Straight Flush Missclick Call

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

Philipp Zukernik opened the action with a raise to 10,000 and Allen Kessler pushed all in for just over 60,000. Michael Braeutigam in the big blind tossed in the extra 5,000 to call the raise of Zukernik and was then made aware that Kessler had gone all in. As a result, the German had to call off the all in of Kessler.

Zukernik was somewhat confused, glanced at Braeutigam’s stack, counted his own stack and folded to see Kessler and Braeutigam in the following showdown.

Allen Kessler: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Michael Braeutigam: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

"I can't win this one," Kessler said and stood up from his chair, which fell over. The {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop gave Braeutigam a straight and flush draw, which he spiked on the {4-Hearts} turn. Kessler had outs for the full house and superior flush, but the {5-Hearts} river further improved Braeutigam to a straight flush.

Anson Tsang followed to the rail moments later to reduce the field further.

Lalwani Eliminated by Kabrhel

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Rakesh Lalwani
Rakesh Lalwani

Martin Kabrhel had pushed the flop twice to push up his stack without showdown and remained involved in the action. A raise by the Czech in early position was called by Rakesh Lalwani in the small blind. The flop brought {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Lalwani checked, Kabrhel pushed once more for more than 150,000 and Lalwani called with a very similar stack size.

Rakesh Lalwani: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Martin Kabrhel: {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Lalwani had plenty of outs with the over card and nut flush draw, but both the {2-Diamonds} turn and the {J-Spades} river bricked off. The stacks were counted and Kabrhel had 157,000, which covered Lalwani.

Bednar Doubles Through Kabrhel

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

A big pot had already emerged when Jan Bednar jammed for 86,500 on the {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{J-Spades} river. Martin Kabrhel called and Bednar tabled {K-Spades}{J-Clubs} for a full house, Kabrhel only had {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for trips kings and had to forfeit more than half of his stack.

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Refael Dahan was the first player to bust in the money and fellow countryman Tamir Segal doubled in a big pot against Michal Lubas.

Martin Kabrhel raised to 8,000 and Segal three-bet to 90,000 for most of his stack in the hijack. Michal Lubas moved all in from the button and Kabrhel folded, Segal called it off for 137,500.

Tamir Segal: {A-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Michal Lubas: {J-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
