Event #1: €550 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em
Day 1g Started
Welcome back to the last afternoon starting flight of Event #1: €550 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em which is Day 1G. Traditionally, the last day of starting flights for any event in the King’s Casino in Rozvadov is the busiest day of all and the expectation is that it won’t be any different this time. Today at noon local time, Day 1G will kick off as one of the last chances for players to try and find their way to bagging their chips for Day 2, Sunday, October 14.
Over the first six starting days, 1,333 entries have been attracted by the whopping €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and 122 players have made it through so far. Topping the chip counts right now are all players who played Day 1F with Italy’s Nico Mussini in first place with 918,000 in chips. He’s trailed by Jan Bendik (812,000) and Rifat Gegic (712,000).
Players can reenter once per flight and will receive 25,000 in chips for the €550 buyin. The late registration and reentry period will remain open during the first ten levels of the day. Eighteen levels of play are scheduled with a 15-minute break after every four levels. At 6 PM local time, another starting flight, Day 1H, is scheduled to start which will be the very last chance for players to jump into the tournament.
Players like Shaun Deeb, Roland Israelashvili, Andrey Andreev, Renato Kaneoya, Viliyan Petleshkov, Allen Kessler, Carlo Savinelli, Michael Soyza, Michal Lubas, Dutch Boyd, and many others will be taking another shot as they haven’t made it through yet.

The 2015 COLOSSUS champion during the WSOP in Vegas, Cord Garcia, has entered the field but just lost some chips.
Mirko Mann raised to 300 from under the gun and Garcia three-bet to 900 on the button. Florin Ghimpu and Angel Kyulehanov called from the blinds and so did Mann.
The flop came and everyone checked except Garcia who continued with a bet of 2,000 which was only called by Ghimpu and Kyulehanov.
They all checked through the on the turn to the on the river. Ghimpu checked, Kyulehanov bet 2,500 and Garcia gave up. Ghimpu called but mucked his hand when he saw Kyulehanov turn over for the rivered straight.

Cola held for the turned flush but that wasn't enough to stick around for now. As Hill scored one of the first eliminations of the day, he's at the top of the chip counts for now.
