Eiermann Wins a Big One

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Werner Nather was all in for just 6,000 and Toni Haemaelaeinen called. Mark Eiermann then three-bet to 13,000 and Haemaelaeinen moved all in, Eiermann almost beat him into the pot.

Werner Nather: {K-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Mark Eiermann: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Toni Haemaelaeinen: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop changed nothing much, and the {K-Hearts} turn instantly secured the big pot for Eiermann to make the {7-Diamonds} river a formality. Eiermann doubled through Haemaelaeinen for 42,400 and the Finn busted shortly after.

Second Break of Day 1H

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

The screens show a total of 789 entries for the final flight of the tournament and at the end of level eight, there are 453 players remaining. They are heading out of the 80 table poker area at King's Casino and will be back in their seats in 15 minutes from now on.

Topoly Thriving; Desset Not

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

With 11,000 in the middle and the turn showing {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{10-Spades}, Milan Topoly checked and called a bet of 4,000 by his table neighbor. Topoly then led the {5-Spades} river for 8,000 and his opponent thought about it for half a minute, then sent his cards into the muck. Topoly flashed the {A-Spades} for the nut flush.

The table no longer features Giuliano Bendinelli, who has been eliminated some time ago as confirmed by Micky Blasi.

Andrej Desset will also have to re-enter as he just lost a flip against Silman Horiacher. Desset was all in for around 16,000 with the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} and Horiacher held the {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}. The board of {J-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs} left the Slovakian drawing dead on the turn.

Sances and Clinkscales No More

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

On the three-way turn of {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, there was a bet of 5,000 and the shove of Giovanni Sances for around 16,000. Volodymyr Kernytskyi moved all in over the top and that forced out the third player in the hand.

Giovanni Sances: {K-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Volodymyr Kernytskyi: {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The {8-Clubs} on the river was a blank and Sances was eliminated.

"I knew he had the king of hearts," Kernytskyi said.

Rex Clinkscales was also on the way out of the tournament area. His {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for middle pair on a king-high flop were still visible, but he was drawing dead on the turn as his opponent held {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a flopped set of fours.

Spitzenstaetter Jams; Shows Queens

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Three-way to the {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, Peter Slustik bet 12,000 and Hubert Spitzenstaetter moved all in for 39,600. Riccardo Saitta leaned back in his chair and had a decision ahead on the button, but opted to fold. Slustik only gave it very brief consideration and also let go.

Spitzenstaetter raked in the pot and flipped over {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for the overpair.

Kuznik Busts Cohen in Big Pot

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Yehuda Cohen
Yehuda Cohen

Yehuda Cohen raised from middle position and was called by Yaron Kuznik in the big blind. Both players were very active at the table but there was barely any action until the board completed with {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. What followed, however, was a raising war that saw Cohen get his stack of more than 60,000 in with {5-}{4-} for two pair.

Kuznik tabled {Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for the superior two pair and dragged in the massive pot much to the disbelief of many players at the table.
