Schiefer Gets Paid Off

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Wojciech Wyrebski raised to 360,000 from early position and was called by Klaus Schiefer a couple of seats over. The flop came {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Wyrebski led out for 460,000. Schiefer quickly called and the {8-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

Wyrebski checked this time and Schiefer also tapped the table. The {3-Hearts} completed the board on the river and Wyrebski slid in a bet of 600,000. Schiefer instantly raised to 2,000,000 and Wyrebski went into the tank. After a couple of minutes, he made the call and Schiefer turned over {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for the best full house. Wyrebski mucked his hand and Schiefer dragged in a sizeable pot.

Picking up the action on a completed board of {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{3-Spades}, the action was checked to Netanel Amedi in the cutoff. Amedi bet 575,000 into a pot of around 1,500,000. Mick Heder was in the big blind and check-raised all in for 2,590,000.

Amedi let out a groan as it was obvious he had a big decision on his hands. Amedi asked for a count and soon after made the call. Heder flipped over {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for just a pair of tens while Amedi tabled {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for two pair. Heder made his way to the payout desk while Amedi moved back into the chip lead with nearly 10 million chips.

Corentin Schmauch
Corentin Schmauch

Three players were still alive in the hand on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Corentin Schmauch was already all in for the main pot and a side pot was growing between Wojciech Wyrebski and Jan Bednar.

When the {2-Clubs} landed on the turn, Wyrebski tossed in a bet of 475,000 which got Bednar to lay his hand down. Wyrebski turned over {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for top pair while Schmauch held {a-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a straight draw. The river was the {9-Hearts} and Schmauch was eliminated, bringing the field down to just two tables.
