Szunyoghy Makes the Right Call

Level 1 : 150/300, 0 ante

The board read {9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} with 5,000 in the middle already. Marco Slacanac bet 3,200 from mid-position and Tamas Szunyoghy threw in a chip of 5,000 and two 100-chips from the button. The dealer announced a raise and Szunyoghy said he wanted to call. The dealer said it was a min-raise. Szunyoghy added 1,200 to make it a raise to 6,400. Slacanac looked at his cards again and then made the call.

The river completed the board with the {3-Diamonds}, Slacanac flicked in 10,000 as a bet and Szunyoghy called.

"Good call," Slacanac said while turning around his {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for the pair of nines on the board with the ace-kicker in his hand. Szunyoghy showed {5-Spades}{4-Spades} for the flopped two pair to pick up the pot.

The hand right after, Paul Berende raised to 900 from the hijack and was called by Szunyoghy in the cutoff and Joel Ettedgi in the big blind. The flop came {5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Ettedgi checked, Berende continued with a bet of 1,600 and both Szunyoghy and Ettedgi folded. Berende quickly showed {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} before collecting the pot.
