Geshkenbein Takes From Aldemir

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A substantial pot had already built with the completed board showing {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Koray Aldemir checked over to Vladimir Geshkenbein on a table filled with notables. Geshkenbein made it 31,700 to go and Aldemir reluctantly called, then mucked when he was shown the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} for top pair and top kicker.

Hata Ousted Early On

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Nico Prokic opened from under the gun and Aymon Hata flat-called on the button. The flop came {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Prokic checked to Hata who bet 2,600. Prokic check-raised to 7,400 and Hata called.

The turn brought the {j-Spades} and Prokic led out for 12,000. Hata still called and the {8-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Prokic announced all in and Hata was left with a decision for his remaining 37,500 chips. Hata went into the tank for nearly three minutes before making the call. Prokic turned over {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} for Broadway while Hata could only muster two pair with {a-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Mrakes Wins From Ruzicka

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After Kalidou Sow had raised from under the gun, Michal Mrakes called from the cutoff and Vojtech Ruzicka defended the big blind to see the {6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop appear. Both Ruzicka and Sow checked to Mrakes, who bet 5,000. Both players called the bet.

After the {4-Spades} turn got checked around, the {9-Diamonds} landed on the river. Ruzicka bet 13,400, Sow folded, and Mrakes called instantly. Ruzicka showed {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a busted straight draw and Mrakes won with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

Gudmundur Sigurjonsson raised and Ludovic Geilich three-to 7,200 from one seat over. Sigurjonsson four-bet to 22,400 and Geilich gave it some thought before making the call.

The flop came {J-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Sigurjonsson continued for 27,000, which prompted the shove of Geilich and the call of the Icelander.

Ludovic Geilich: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Gudmundur Sigurjonsson: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

The {2-Clubs} turn and {J-Hearts} river brought no help for Geilich and he was sent to the rail.

Hutchison Rivers Filatov

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop, Anatoly Filatov was on the button and bet 2,000. Dean Hutchison check-raised to 7,000 in the big blind, Filatov three-bet to 20,000 and Hutchison called. The {Q-Hearts} turn and {8-Diamonds} river then got checked down.

Hutchison showed {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for the rivered flush and Filatov frowned. He took around five seconds before flinging his hand in the muck, then said with a big grin: "If you have a flush, why don't you bet?" Hutchison didn't respond and silently stacked up the chips.
