Lubas Triples Up, Mrakes Doubles

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Michal Lubas
Michal Lubas

Michal Lubas shoved from the early position for 20,400 and Ralph Stobbe announced a raise but then put in 25,000. The floor was called over as a discussion ensued about what should happen now. The floor came over and the dealer explained what had happened. The tournament director was also added to the discussion as some people on the table had their opinions on the situation too.

In the end, the tournament director ruled that as Stobbe had announced a raise, Stobbe had to put in the minimum raise. Stobbe didn't protest and put in 41,600 as the raise. Michal Mrakes then proceeded to shove on the button and Theodoros Aidonopoulos and Ting Ho folded their blinds. Ho was clearly not in agreement with the ruling and let it be heard.

Stobbe tanked and after a while, he seemed confused as he said he was waiting for the action but the dealer advised him that Mrakes had gone all-in too. Stobbe asked how much more it was and the dealer confirmed Mrakes had shoved for 62,000 in total. Stobbe called.

Michal Lubas: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Michal Mrakes: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Ralph Stobbe: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} for Lubas to triple up. After paying Lubas, Mrakes had 40,600 left and Stobbe had to pay that double-up, leaving himself with 50,000 at the end.

Janardhan's Stack Continues to Grow

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Dutch Boyd made it 3,000 to go in the hijack and Bharath Janardhan flat-called on the button. The blinds folded and the dealer spread the flop of {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Boyd continued for 4,500 and Janardhan called to see the {3-Diamonds} on the turn.

Boyd fired another 9,000 and Janardhan still called. The river was the {8-Clubs} and Boyd checked this time. Janardhan splashed in a bet of 26,000 and Boyd called rather quickly. Janardhan turned over {5-Spades}{3-Hearts} for two pair and Boyd slid his cards face down to the middle with a disgusted look on his face.

Skalak Puts Sarnow to the Test

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Florian Sarnow opened to 2,500 from early position and was called by Vojtech Skalak in the cutoff. The two players saw a flop of {10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Sarnow continued for 2,200. Skalak called and the {2-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Sarnow fired out another bet of 5,000 but Skalak stuck around to see the {q-Diamonds} on the river. Sarnow checked this time and Skalak moved in a stack of T5,000 chips, enough to put Sarnow to the test for his last 26,000 chips. Sarnow made a quick decision and instantly flew his cards to the muck, sending the pot to Skalak.
