Jalunins Rivers a Flush to Double Up

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Roland Israelashvili opened to 1,000 from under the gun and David Hudson three-bet to 3,000 in middle position. Nikolajs Jalunins flat-called from the small blind and Israelashvili also called to go three ways to a flop.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the action checked to Hudson who continued for 4,200. Jalunins called and Israelashvili raised to 15,000. Hudson got out of the way and Jalunins moved all in for 28,600. Israelashvili made the easy call and the cards were on their backs.

Jalunins tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a flush draw while Israelashvili held {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for two pair. The {3-Diamonds} on the turn changed nothing but the {9-Clubs} on the river gave Jalunins a flush. He was able to score a big double up and leave Israelashvili on a short stack.

Speranza Doubles Up Immediately

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Gianluca Speranza just sat down and immediately got involved in the first hand he got dealt.

Markus Steger raised to 1,500 from mid-position and was called by Yoan Argence in the hijack and Speranza in the big blind.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, both Speranza and Steger checked. Argence bet 4,000 which only Speranza called.

The turn was the {k-Spades}, Speranza checked again and Argence bet 9,000. Speranza glanced at Argence before making the call.

The river completed the board with the {10-Spades}, Speranza now shoved. Argence asked how much he had, the dealer counted out Speranza's stack and confirmed he has 25,100 left.

"Ace-queen?" Argence asked Speranza but got no reaction of him.

Argence contemplated for a bit longer and then put in the chips for the call. Speranza tabled {q-Hearts}{j-Spades} the rivered straight and Argence just nodded. The dealer forced him to table his cards and Argence complied, showing {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for the flopped set of nines.

Luo Bombs the River

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Roman Svab raised to 1,000 from early position and was called by Adolf Huber and Xixiang Luo on his left. The three players saw a flop of {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the action checked to Luo who bet 1,500. Svab folded but Huber called to see the {5-Hearts} on the turn.

Huber checked again and Luo splashed in a bet of 4,300. Huber thought for a moment and called as the {10-Hearts} landed on the river. Huber checked for the third time and Luo reached back for a bet of 18,500. Huber quickly mucked his cards and Luo scooped the pot.

Haemaelaeinen Wins the Battle of the Blinds

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

The action folded around to Sterling Savill in the small blind who just limped in. Toni Haemaelaeinen raised it up to 1,500 in the big blind and Savill called. The flop fell {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Savill check-called a bet of 1,500 from Haemaelaeinen.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and Savill checked again. Haemaelaeinen fired another 3,500 and Savill called to see the {8-Diamonds} on the river. Savill checked one more time before Haemaelaeinen tossed in a 5,000 chip. Savill thought for over a minute before making the call. Haemaelaeinen turned over {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for two pair and Savill sent his cards to the muck.
