Amedi Continues Betting with the Second Best

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Netanel Amedi raised it up from under the gun and Christian Thiry called from the big blind. The flop came {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Thiry check-called a bet of 1,700 from Amedi.

The turn brought the {5-Diamonds} and Thiry checked again. Amedi fired another 5,300 and Thiry still called as the {9-Diamonds} completed the board. Thiry checked for the third time and Amedi bet another 12,100. Thiry thought for a minute before making the call again. Amedi flipped over {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} but it was no match for the {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} of Thiry.

Walnum Eliminates Sgorrano Before Dinner Break

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Andreas Walnum opened to 1,300 in the hijack and Jerome Sgorrano three-bet to 3,200 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Walnum who called to see a flop of {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Walnum checked to Sgorrano who bet 2,800 and Walnum check-raised all in. Sgorrano wasted little time in calling off his last 20,000 chips but was well behind when the cards were tabled. Walnum showed {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} while Sgorrano held {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. The {8-Hearts} on the turn and the {4-Spades} on the river changed nothing as Sgorrano shipped his chips to Walnum.

Ambrus Ousted by Yildrim

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Mahmut Yildrim raised to 1,000 from early position and Sandor Amdrus shoved on the button. The blinds folded and Yildrim asked for a count, the dealer confirmed Amrus had 10,300 in front of him and Yildrim called.

Sandor Ambrus: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Mahmut Yildrim: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for Yildrim to hold with the pocket tens to eliminate Ambrus from the Monster Stack tournament.

Jahany Sends Riess to the Rail

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

After a raise from middle position, Khabat Jahany tossed in a 5,000 chip for a three-bet on the button. Ryan Riess four-bet to 11,000 in the small blind and the action came back to Jahany. He splashed in the rest of his 35,000 chips and Riess snap-folded.

Just a couple moments later, the same two players had all of the chips in the middle with Riess being the player at risk. The board was nearly complete reading {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and Riess needed some help. The {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} was face up in front of Riess while Jahany held {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a set of sevens. The river bricked off and Riess made an early exit in his first tournament of the series.

Top Pair Holds for Zepeda

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Andres Zepeda raised to 1,100 from middle position and picked up action from three other players. The flop came {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Zepeda continued for 2,500. Fouad Zouiten was the only player to call from the cutoff.

The turn brought the {10-Clubs} and Zepeda fired out another 5,500. Zouiten stuck around to see the {4-Diamonds} on the river. Zepeda checked this time and Zouiten knuckled the table as well in frustration. Zepeda turned over {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Zouiten sent his cards to the muck.

Peters Favors the River

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Tobias Peters
Tobias Peters

Tobias Peters raised it up from early position and Luca Marchetti defended from the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {9-Clubs} on the turn.

Marchetti led out for 1,300 and Peters raised to 4,500. Marchetti re-raised to 9,200 and Peters just called. The river was the {6-Diamonds} and Marchetti checked this time with three diamonds on the board. Peters put together a bet of 23,000 and Marchetti was left with a decision for the majority of his stack

He thought for over a minute before sliding his cards to the muck and allowing Peters to win the pot. Just a couple of moments later, Marchetti was seen leaving the tournament area after being eliminated.
