Olsen Escapes Elimination

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Gisle Olsen
Gisle Olsen

Gilse Olsen was pretty short with exactly 12 big blinds in his possession when he got it all in from late position. He was called by his neighbor Aaron Duczak and it was the classic aces against kings as Olsen held {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Duczak had {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

The flop was an exciting one in the form of {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Duczak flopped top set but Olsen had the nut-flush draw. Olsen asked for a heart and the dealer gave him one as the {Q-Hearts} turn was dealt. Duczak then requested that the river needed to pair the board, but that didn't happen on the {2-Spades} river.

Olsen doubled up to avoid elimination.

Zhou Doubles Through Rezaei

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Quan Zhou raised to 33,000 and Ilya Bulychev in the big blind tossed in a few chips, then said call after. The floor was called and the situation was explained, it was then ruled as a forced raise to 62,000 which Bulychev had put in. Zhou raised the pot and Bulychev folded kings face up.

One hand later, Zhou made it 33,000 once more and Daniel Rezaei on the button three-bet to 120,000. Bulychev was in the small blind and on his phone, folded, was then given a warning by the floor staff to end the phone call while he was on the table or walk away to continue with it. Zhou had opted to call the three-bet and checked the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop. Rezaei bet the pot and Zhou snap-moved all in, Rezaei called it off.

Quan Zhou: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Daniel Rezaei: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The {K-Diamonds} turn gave Zhou a full house and there was no miracle one outer for Rezaei, as the {10-Spades} appeared on the river to let Zhou double for 316,000.

Norden More Than Doubles

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Daniel Rezaei made it 30,000 to go first to act and was called three ways by Ilya Bulychev in the hijack, Quan Zhou on the button and Alexander Norden in the big blind. The flop brought {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Norden moved all in for 97,000, which was called by Zhou only.

Alexander Norden: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Quan Zhou: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

On top of his nut flush draw, Zhou picked up a gutshot on the {3-Hearts} turn, but the {3-Clubs} river was a blank to let Norden more than double.

Zoltan Szabo Eliminated in 13th Place (€4,742)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Zoltan Szabo
Zoltan Szabo

The board was already reading {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} when all the chips got in the middle. Zoltan Szabo managed to double up through Hokyiu Lee only a couple hands earlier, but he gave all the chips and more back to Lee.

The chips got in the middle with Lee holding {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and crushing the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} that Szabo was holding.

Szabo gets to collect €4,742 for his efforts and finishes in 13th place.

Gray and Szabo Score Vital Double Ups

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Within one minute apart from each other, Jason Gray and Zoltan Szabo doubled to remain in contention with 13 players remaining.

Gray had been heads-up with Daniel Rezaei on the {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop and bet 100,000. Rezaei reraised the pot and Gray called all in for 278,000.

Jason Gray: {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Daniel Rezaei: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

"Only the king," Gray said and sure enough he got his wish granted with the magical {K-Clubs} on the turn. The {8-Clubs} river gave Rezaei an inferior full house and he lost yet another big pot in quick succession.

Szabo ended up all in against Hokyiu Lee with the flop showing {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}. Szabo's friends rushed to the table to see the showdown:

Zoltan Szabo: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Hokyiu Lee: {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

Lee needed a six for the straight while the Hungarian rail asked for the case nine. Indeed, the {9-Diamonds} came on the turn and Lee only had one out to the straight flush. The river was the inconsequential {4-Diamonds} and Szabo doubled for 141,000.

Big Pot to Bulychev

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Ilya Bulychev
Ilya Bulychev

Daniel Rezaei opened with a raise to 30,000 from middle position and the only player interested in the pot was his left-hand neighbor Ilya Bulychev. Bulychev put in 30,000 to call and they went heads-up to the flop.

The flop came down {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{A-Spades} and Rezaei continued with a bet of 25,000. Bulychef called again.

The {6-Clubs} landed on the turn and Rezaei continued to show aggression by betting. This time the bet was 117,000 and Bulychev called one more time.

The {9-Diamonds} was the river and Rezaei fired away with a big bet of 325,000. Bulychev asked the dealer how much was in the pot and when he got the answer he thought about his decision. After a while, he announced all in and Rezaei folded within seconds to award his neighbor with the pot.

Three Barrels by Duczak

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Aaron Duczak raised it up from under the gun and was called by Anson Tsang in the small blind. Tsang ended up check-calling bets of 37,000 on the {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and 85,000 on the {Q-Diamonds} turn. Tsang also checked the {10-Clubs} river and Duczak fired a third barrel worth 155,000.

That proved to be too much for Tsang, who conceded the pot and sent his cards into the muck.

Sterner Takes From Tsang

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Ludvig Sterner raised to 30,000 in early position and picked up a single caller in Anson Tsang from one seat over. They checked down the {Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop and the {5-Diamonds} turn. On the {3-Diamonds} river, Sterner bet 50,000 and Tsang called.

Sterner rolled over {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades} for the king-high flush and that won the pot, the Swede moved past Tsang in the overall counts with 13 players remaining.

Bartos Wins at Showdown

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Ilya Bulychev raised to 30,000 from early position and Gergely Bartos called from one seat over. The other players got out of the way and the flop was dealt.

{J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{A-Diamonds} was put on the board and Bulychev checked to Bartos who took over the betting lead by putting 55,000 in the middle. Bulychev called to see the turn.

The turn card was the {9-Diamonds} and Bulychev checked again. This time the bet from Bartos was 95,000 and he was called again.

The {10-Clubs} river completed the board and both players checked it down.

Bulychev showed {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} but that wasn't enough against the {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} of Bartos.

Bulychev Takes One on the Flop

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Ilya Bulychev raised to 30,000 in the hijack and was called by Gergely Bartos in the cutoff, Quan Zhou on the button and Roman Cieslik in the big blind. The flop came {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Cieslik checked. Bulychev bet 65,000 and that forced folds from all opponents to let Bulychev scoop an extra 100,000 without resistance.

Bulychev remains second in chips behind Daniel Rezaei, while Cieslik is one of the shorter stacks.
