Bensimhon Facing Three Barrels

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Norbert Mosonyi raised to 400,000 from middle position and Eyal Bensimhon defended the big blind. Mosonyi bet a quick 400,000 on both the {k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop and {k-Clubs} turn, twice called by Bensimhon.

The river was the {q-Hearts} and Bensimhon snap-folded after Mosonyi moved all in.

Samuel Mika Eliminated in 5th Place (€12,138)

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Samuel Mika
Samuel Mika

Samuel Mika raised to 450,000 from the cutoff and it got folded to big blind Renat Bohdanov. The chip leader three-bet shoved all in and Mika snap-called for about 5,000,000, instantly creating the biggest pot of the tournament thus far.

Samuel Mika: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Renat Bohdanov: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}

Mika found himself in prime contention to take over the chip lead but faith would have it otherwise. The board ran out {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades} to see Bohdanov river a straight, and Mika muttered some words in disgust before heading to the payout desk.

A Chip and A Chair for Hryhoriev

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Mykhailo Hryhoriev
Mykhailo Hryhoriev

Mykhailo Hryhoriev raised in the cutoff and Norbert Mosonyi called in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{a-Spades} and Mosonyi check-raised to 700,000 after Hryhoriev 's continuation bet of 350,000. The latter called.

Things heated on the {6-Hearts} turn. Mosonyi announced all-in with a stack worth 5,250,000, putting Hryhoriev to a decision with a similar stack. Hryhoriev ended up calling to create the following showdown:

Mykhailo Hryhoriev: {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Norbert Mosonyi: {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Mosonyi held a better two pair and the {2-Clubs} didn't change anything for Hryhoriev, who was left with only one chip of 25,000 after the hand.

Mykhailo Hryhoriev Eliminated in 4th Place (€16,736)

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Mykhailo Hryhoriev
Mykhailo Hryhoriev

Left with only one chip of 25,000, Mykhailo Hryhoriev managed to double up twice to increase his stack to 300,000. First, he doubled up with {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} against Renat Bohdanov who was holding {7-Spades}{9-Clubs} after a jack-high board showed up.

The hand after, Hryhoriev was all in again from the small blind with {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and facing Eyal Bensimhon with {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Hryhoriev hit a {5-Spades} on the board to keep a historic comeback possibility alive.

Hryhoriev moved all in once more on the cutoff and Bodhanov reraised from the small blind to 800,000 to make Mosonyi fold his big blind.

Mykhailo Hryhoriev: {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Renat Bohdanov: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, giving a straight draw to Hryhoriev, but the rest of the board brought {k-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Hryhoriev was eliminated.

Eyal Bensimhon Eliminated in 3rd Place (€23,386)

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Eyal Bensimhon
Eyal Bensimhon

Directly after Mykhailo Hryhoriev's bustout, Eyal Bensimhon shoved all in for about 2,800,000 from the small blind. Renat Bohdanov glanced at his hole cards and quickly slid in a call.

Eyal Bensimhon: {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Renat Bohdanov: {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Although the window card was the {a-Diamonds}, the flop was completed with the {k-Diamonds} and {3-Clubs} to give Bensimhon the lead. The {4-Hearts} on the turn was safe for the Day 2 chip leader as well, but the {6-Hearts} river improved Bohdanov to a higher two pair to knock the Israeli out in third.

First Skirmishes Heads-Up

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Without pause, Renat Bohdanov and Norbert Mosonyi started their heads-up and frantically burned through a number of hands to set a quick pace right off the bat. While Bohdanov dragged the majority of these pots, dropping Mosonyi about two million in the process, it was Mosonyi with the first big shove to claim it right back.

It was Bohdanov who raised to 650,000 and Mosonyi called. The {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop went check/check, Mosonyi bet 1,000,000 on the {10-Clubs} turn and Bohdanov called. The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Mosonyi ripped it in for 8,600,000, netting a quick fold.

Renat Bohdanov raised to 650,000 and Mosonyi called.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Mosonyi check-called for 550,000. On the {7-Hearts} turn, the same action happened, this time for a bet worth 1,475,000.

The {a-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Mosonyi chose to lead out for 2,000,000. Bohdanov looked at his cards once more and sent them into the muck.
