Deeb and Vieira Meet Twice

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 9,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Shaun Deeb: {x-}{x-} / {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} / {x-}
Joao Vieira: {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades} / {x-}

Shaun Deeb called and Joao Vieira completed, which Phil Ivey and Alex Livingston called, as did Deeb. Both Ivey and Livingston folded to a bet of Vieira on fourth as he had a pair of aces showing. Deeb called and did so again on fifth. Vieira then check-called a bet on sixth and they checked seventh.

Deeb showed {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a low and Vieira had {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} for a pair of aces as the high hand.

Shaun Deeb: {x-}{x-} / {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {x-}
Joao Vieira: {x-}{x-} / {3-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{k-Hearts} / {x-}

Deeb and Vieira tangled again shortly after. They checked fourth and Vieira check-called a bet on fifth. Sixth was checked and a bet by Vieira on seventh left Deeb with the head shaking as he tossed the cards into the muck.

Martini Bombs The River

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante

Julien Martini

Pot-Limit Omaha

Three ways to the {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{k-Spades} turn, James Chen bet 45,000 in the big blind and was called by Johannes Becker in the cutoff and Julien Martini on the button. The {10-Diamonds} appeared on the river and Martini bet 201,000, which forced folds from both opponents.

An excited Martini revealed a "bluff" with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{x-} as Becker replied "it wasn't a bluff against me."

Ivey First to Bust

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

No-Limit Hold'em

Phil Ivey had been left with around 250,000 and open-shoved to steal the blinds and big blind ante once to win the pot but vanished shortly after.

In the final hand of No-Limit Hold'em, he three-bet jammed for 255,000 in the small blind according to Robert Campbell, who called from the big blind and Joao Vieira forfeited his raise to 20,000 on the button.

Campbell added that Ivey had the {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and the Aussie was well ahead with {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

An open-ender on the {j-}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop brought some hope of a comeback for Ivey on the first bullet while the {5-Clubs} turn reduced his outs, as Campbell had the superior flush draw. The river came the {j-Diamonds} and that ended Ivey's first bullet in the event.

Phil Ivey

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Phil Ivey has re-entered and sat back down in the very same seat he had at the start of the day. He was immediately involved in two Stud Hi-Lo hands, winning one and chopping the other.

Thomer Pidun: {x-}{x-} / {8-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Hearts} fold
Phil Ivey: {x-}{x-} / {5-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Thomer Pidun completed and called a raise by Ivey, who then bet fourth and fifth street. Pidun check-called once and check-folded to the second bet.

Phil Ivey: {x-}{x-} / {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades} / {x-}
Anthony Zinno: {x-}{x-} / {3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} / {x-}
Tobias Leknes: {x-}{x-} / {3-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} fold

Ivey check-called a bet by Tobias Leknes on fourth and Anthony Zinno also came along. Ivey check-raised a Zinno bet on fifth and Leknes folded, Zinno called. Ivey check-called twice more and Zinno tabled {q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Ivey won the high pot with {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{x-}.
