Up and Down for Thorel

Level 21 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel opened to 2,300,000 on the button with {k-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Chin Wei Lim three-bet to 6,000,000 in the small blind with {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Anatoly Filatov threw his pocket fives in the muck and Thorel responded with a four-bet to 15,300,000. Lim was forced to ditch his cards as well and Thorel is putting on a clinic.

In the next hand, Filatov limped in from the small blind with {q-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Thorel checked his option with {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. The flop came {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Filatov check-called a bet of 2,000,000 from Thorel.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {2-Diamonds} on the river. Filatov led out for 3,500,000 and Thorel snapped him off. Filatov showed his two pair and Thorel conceded the pot.
