Wendlandt Vs. Gentile

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Armando Gentile limped in early position and Arin Mohamad raised to 1,500. Henning Wendlandt called in the big blind and so did Gentile.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{a-Hearts} and the three players checked. When the turn showed the {7-Diamonds}, Wendlandt led out for 3,000 and only Gentile made the call.

A {5-Clubs} fell on the river and this time Wendlandt checked to Gentile who bet 6,500. Wendlandt tanked and asked "two pair?" and saw Gentile shake his head meaning no. Wendlandt ended up calling and Gentile tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a flopped set of eights.

Wendlandt mucked his hand with a smile, "so you didn't have two pair, but better!".

Casiraghi Finds a Double Up Against Bensimhon

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

According to the table, a player opened and it was called four times before Eyal Bensimhon three-bet in the blinds. Only Alessio Casiraghi called. All the chips went in the middle on the flop {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Spades}. Bensimhon bet to put Casiraghi at risk for his last 16,900 and the latter called.

Alessio Casiraghi: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Eyal Bensimhon: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Casiraghi was in good shape for a double up, which he did after the {4-Hearts} and the {k-Clubs} completed the board, giving the winning hand to Casiraghi with two pair.
