Koehler Left Short and Busts

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Jan Koehler apparently lost a big pot and was left with his last three big blinds. He put them in the middle with {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} from early position and a couple of seats after him Jessica Mendyka shoved for a little less than 200,000, holding {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}.

Everybody else folded and the flop came {q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for Mendyka to bust a player and add to her stack.

Kasami No More

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The eliminations come at a rapid pace and the next player to bust was Sherif Kasami. His cards were mucked and the table was next to break but that came too late for Kasami who came up second-best to the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} of Darkhan Rakhymzhanov on a board of {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

Bitton Doubles Through Neuville

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Pierre Neuville had reraised to 60,000 and then reluctantly called the shove of Itzhak Bitton to create the following showdown.

Itzhak Bitton: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Pierre Neuville: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board came {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and the kicker played to let Bitton double. Neuville is still up for the day as he had won plenty of chips earlier and their table broke right after as the remaining field dipped below 250 contenders.

Hryhoriev Essentially Triples

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Christoph Peper raised to 18,000 and Patrick Kurfner called, Mykhailo Hryhoriev then shoved the small blind for 60,000 and Peper reshoved to force out Kurfner.

Mykhailo Hryhoriev: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Christoph Peper: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The board came {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Hryhoriev hit trips.

One hand later, he three-bet jammed once more for 153,000 and won the blinds and big blind ante on top of the raise.

Limped Aces Cause Disaster

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Gilad Yeshayahu decided to limp preflop from under the gun and the Aleksandr Glinskii from the small blind, along with Mikis Kalaidzidis from the big blind were into the hand.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Glinskii checked with Kalaidzidis announcing all in for around 100,000. Yeshayahu tanked for a bit and called, while Glisnkii snap called too.

Gilad Yeshayahu: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Aleksandr Glinskii: {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Mikis Kalaidzidis: {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Kalaidzidis had the worst hand and asked for a ten, with the dealer bringing the {10-Spades} on the turn to give him a huge lead in the hand. The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Kalaidzidis tripled up while Glinskii won a small side pot from Yeshayahu who busted.

Perfect Flop for Chyle

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Sergii Karpov came into the day as the overall chipleader and had a pretty good start to today as well. Karpov opened to 18,000 in middle position and Oldrich Chyle shoved all in for 98,000 in the big blind. Karpov instantly called with another premium holding.

Oldrich Chyle: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Sergii Karpov: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Chyle found the perfect flop, leaving Karpov drawing to just one out. The {6-Clubs} on the turn sealed the deal and the {3-Diamonds} on the river was a formality. Karpov sent over a small portion of his chips but is still sitting on a stack of 70 big blinds.

Pflueger Among the Chip Leaders

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On the tail end of a pot between the big stacks Zhong Chen and Walter Pflueger, the latter bet the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} river for 105,000 and Chen reluctantly folded. Both appear to be near the top of the leaderboard in the second level of the day.
