Hatipoglu Makes the Right Fold

Level 1 : 100/300, 300 ante

Nino Wagner limped in from under the gun and Timur Margolin raised to 1,000 in the hijack. Bahadir Hatipoglu called in the small blind and so did Wagner.

They all checked through the {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Spades} flop to the {7-Diamonds} on the turn. Hatipoglu bet 1,500 which only Wagner called.

The river completed the board with the {2-Clubs}, Hatipoglu check-folded to the 2,000 continuation-bet of Wagner and showed the {8-Clubs}. Wagner nodded and showed the {10-Clubs}.

Fontaine's Raise Takes It

Level 1 : 100/300, 300 ante

Mike Neuens raised to 800 from the hijack and was called by Jean-Rene Fontaine in the cutoff. Tim Meissner three-bet to 3,200 on the button for the blinds and Neuens to fold while Fontaine called.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, Fontaine checked and Meissner continued with a bet of 3,500 after taking some time to consider his options. Fontaine immediately responded with a raise to 11,000 and that was enough for Meissner to fold his hand.

Final Chance at 2 PM to Make Day 2 of Event #3: €1,350 Mini Main Event NLHE

Kings Resort
Kings Resort

The final flight for Event #3: €1,350 Mini Main Event No-Limit Hold’em starts at 2 p.m. local time and will the final chance for players to try and make it through to Day 2. Day 1a attracted 174 entries, Day 1b collected 214, this means that there are 388 entries in total already but the €551,750 has not been surpassed yet even though it is likely to happen during the first levels of the day. The last starting days of any event here in the King’s Resort are traditionally the busiest and nothing different is expected for Day 1c.

Pulkit Goyal is currently the chip leader after bagging a whopping 1,518,000 in chips on Day 1b. As a matter of fact, he was the only player to take more than a million in chips with him on that day. On Day 1a there were two players who succeeded to do that too, Aleksandr Merzhvinskii and Thai Ha both won monster pots in the final hand of the night to catapult them to the top of the chip counts.

But there are still many notable players who haven’t made it through yet and they will be joining the battle somewhere during the first twelve levels of the day while registration is still open. Players will receive 100,000 chips in their starting stack and can reenter once until the start of Level 13. Level durations are 40 minutes and a 15-minute break has been scheduled after every three levels. A 30-minute dinner break will take place after Level 9. Play will end when there’s 20% left of the field.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be bringing you all the updates from the biggest poker arena in Europe to let you know who else will be joining the 77 survivors for Day 2.
