Kempe Loses a Bunch to Kisacikoglu

Level 8 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

Rainer Kempe opened to 170,000 with the {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} on the button and Orpen Kisacikoglu defended the big blind with {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Kisacikoglu check-called a bet of 120,000.

Kisacikoglu picked up a flushdraw on the {9-Hearts} turn and bet 400,000, which Kempe called. After the {6-Hearts} river, Kisacikoglu made his flush and bet 4,000,000 to give Kempe the option to call all-in or fold with fewer than half the starting stack behind. He used a time-bank extension and indeed folded trips jacks.
