Katz Moves Into the Lead

Cary Katz made it 800,000 to go from under the gun and was called by Richard Yong in the cutoff and Chin Wei Lim in the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Lim checked to Katz who continued for 800,000. Yong called and Lim got out of the way.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {2-Hearts} on the river. Katz announced all in and Yong wasted little time before sending his cards to the muck.

Katz Catches Vogelsang Bluffing

Cary Katz raised to 800,000 with the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Christoph Vogelsang defended the big blind with {9-Spades}{5-Spades}. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Vogelsang check-called a bet worth 800,000.

After the {10-Spades} turn, Vogelsang checked and Katz grabbed into his stack before pulling back his hand and opting to check instead. This prompted Vogelsang to bet the {2-Clubs} river for 3,400,000 and Katz snap-called with the ace-high straight.

Ryan Riess raised it up to 850,000 on the button and Paul Phua called from the small blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and both players checked to the {2-Spades} on the turn.

Phua led out for 1,150,000 and Riess stuck around to see the {7-Clubs} on the river. Phua checked this time and Riess splashed in a bet of 1,700,000. Phua thought for a moment and then decided to ditch his cards.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and both players checked to the {8-Clubs} on the river. Tony G checked once more and Katz fired out a be tof 1,800,000. Tony G quickly called and Katz showed {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} to scoop the pot.
