Monster Pot for Adams Eliminates Kurt

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

The action folded to Rainer Kempe on the button who made it 50,000 to go. Yusuf Kurt three-bet to 135,000 in the small blind and Timothy Adams four-bet to 275,000 in the big blind. Kempe was forced to fold but Kurt still called.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} which stirred on even more action. Kurt started with a check and Adams continued for 200,000. Kurt check-raised to 425,000 and Adams shoved all in. Kurt called off his stack of 1,280,000 and the cards were on their backs.

Timothy Adams : {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Yusuf Kurt: {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Kurt flopped top pair and a straight draw against the set of eights from Adams. The {q-Spades} on the turn was a brick and the {7-Hearts} on the river improved Adams to a full house. Kurt was eliminated and Adams moved near the top of the chip counts.
