Scholten From Big Stack to Busto

Level 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

In the first of the three final hands, Vadzim Lipauka raised to 11,000 in middle position and Freek Scholten three-bet to 46,000 in the small blind, Lipauka called. On a flop of {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Scholten continued for 36,000 and Lipauka came along to see the {k-Clubs} on the turn.

Scholten made it 106,000 to go and Lipauka gave it more than two minutes of consideration before making the call. The {k-Spades} came on the river and Scholten pushed all in, Lipauka snap-called for a reason with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for trips kings and Scholten was caught bluffing with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

One hand later it was all over for the Dutchman as Scholten three-bet and then fired all the way on a {9-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board. Alexandros Kolonias check-called three streets including the shove with {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for two pair and Scholten hit the rail with {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for top pair top kicker.
