Hissou Wins Bigger Pot Off Tabacaru

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Sirzat Hissou
Sirzat Hissou

Sirzat Hissou defended the big blind against a raise by Ion Tabacaru and check-raised the {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop from 5,000 to 13,000 for Tabacaru to call. The {6-Hearts} turn brought a check-call by Hissou for 13,000 and he then led the {6-Diamonds} river for 22,000. Tabacaru raised to 100,000 and that sent Hissou into the tank for around one minute, he then called.

"You win," Tabacaru said in table chat as he rolled over the {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. That was indeed no good as Hissou won the pot with {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for trips sixes.

Theobald Bets the River Successfully

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Anton Morgenstern opened to 5,000 from under the gun and earned calls from Cedric Schwaederle on the button and Pablo Theobald in the big blind. Following the {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, Theobald was the only one to check-call a bet worth 10,000 by Morgenstern and they checked the {3-Spades} turn. Theobald then led the {4-Diamonds} turn for 25,000 and Morgenstern snap-folded with a grin on the face.

Vogelsang and Smolka Enter the Fray

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The field has increased to 21 entries as Dawid Smolka and Tom Vogelsang entered the competition. Dutchman Vogelsang wasted little time before putting the chips to use and forced a fold from Joni Jouhkimainen on the {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs} turn when he made it 50,000 to go into a pot of around 80,000. Jouhkimainen snap-folded as the pot was shipped to Vogelsang.

Okhotskyi Catches Adamszki Bluffing

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Tamas Adamszki raised to 5,000 from under the gun and was called only by Oleh Okhotskyi on the button. The {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} turn was checked and Adamszki then bet the {q-Clubs} turn for 12,000, earning a call by Okhotskyi. After the {q-Clubs} river, Adamszki bet 90,000 into 39,000 and Okhotskyi called.

Jouhkimainen Pays off Puetz

Level 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Christopher Puetz
Christopher Puetz

Joni Jouhkimainen squeezed to 22,000 in the small blind and then faced a reraise to 50,000 by Christopher Puetz in the cutoff, which Jouhkimainen opted to call. The flop fell {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Jouhkimainen check-called a bet worth 21,000. Both then checked the {8-Spades} turn and the {3-Spades} followed on the river.

Jouhkimainen checked once more and Puetz then bet 104,000. The Finn went into the tank and first sighed "aces, huh" before mulling over his decision once more.

"I have no clue and I should never take this long," Jouhkimainen added and eventually called to get shown the {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} by Puetz, which ended up as the winning hand.
