Hissou Busts Tabacaru

Level 6 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ion Tabacaru
Ion Tabacaru

Dawid Smolka lost another big chunk of his stack, this time to Ivan Bryksin, and the next big clash on their table would follow shortly after. Sirzat Hissou check-raised to 125,000 out of the big blind and Ion Tabacaru called from an early position on the {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop. After the {q-Diamonds} turn, Hissou bet 375,000 and Tabacaru was sent into the tank.

"I think you have kings," Tabacaru mentioned in table chat, then mulled over his decision for another minute before calling it off.

Ion Tabacaru: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Sirzat Hissou: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The {j-Spades} river only improved Hissou to a full house as Tabacaru became the next casualty.

Smolka Caught Bluffing Against Tabacaru

Level 5 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

With 75,000 in the middle to the {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} turn, Ion Tabacaru checked and then called a bet worth 55,000 by Dawid Smolka. The {k-Clubs} fell on the river and Tabacaru check-called another large pot to win the pot with {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for two pair, as Smolka only had {q-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a bluff gone wrong.

Puetz Eliminated by Vogelsang

Level 5 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Christopher Puetz
Christopher Puetz

Christopher Puetz raised to 8,000 cutoff and was called by Tom Vogelsang in the small blind and Matas Cimbolas in the big blind. The {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop brought a bet worth 28,000 by Vogelsang and Puetz was the only caller. After the {6-Spades} turn, Vogelsang fired a hefty bet worth 150,000 and once more, Puetz stuck around.

The {2-Spades} river completed the board and Vogelsang moved all-in with the covering stack. Puetz asked for a count and then called it off to get shown the {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for the nut flush by the Dutchman. "So sick," he said in table chat and flipped over his {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} before heading out of the tournament area.

[Removed:549] Left With Crumbs as Vogelsang Doubles

Level 5 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Tom Vogelsang
Tom Vogelsang

Tom Vogelsang raised to 7,000 and [Removed:548] defended out of the big blind. On a {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop, [Removed:549] opted for a bet worth 30,000 and Vogelsang raised to 75,000 for his opponent to call. [Removed:549] then check-called the {a-Diamonds} turn for 110,000 and the {10-Diamonds} river completed the board.

Another bet by [Removed:549] for 150,000 followed and Vogelsang jammed for 323,000 to get called. Vogelsang tabled the {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a flush and [Removed:549] was left with a chip and a chair as he only held {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

[Removed:549] was all-in the next hand out of the small blind as Vogelsang raised and Christopher Puetz defended the big blind. Puetz check-called the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop for 6,000 and the {8-Clubs} turn was checked through, as was the {4-Clubs} river. [Removed:549] had the {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for the nut flush, which beat Puetz's {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and the {a-Spades}{6-Spades} of Vogelsang.

Jouhkimainen Chips Up Through Okhotskyi

Level 5 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Heads-up to the {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{k-Clubs} turn, Oleh Okhotskyi opted to check and Joni Jouhkimainen bet 27,000 for his opponent to call. The {6-Hearts} river brought another check by Okhotskyi and he then paid off a bet worth 56,000 by Jouhkimainen. In showdown, the Finn revealed {k-Spades}{j-Hearts} for the top pair and that was good enough to win the pot.

Schwaederle Beats Pärssinen

Level 5 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

In a three-bet pot to the {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, Cedric Schwaederle checked and called a bet worth 13,000 by Eelis Pärssinen to then check the {9-Spades} turn once more. Pärssinen now bet 50,000 to receive a call from the Frenchman and the {8-Spades} river killed the action as both players checked it down.

Schwaederle tabled the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for the top set and Pärssinen had a dry smile on the face. "Sevens or fours?" Schwaederle asked and Pärssinen revealed his {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for the inferior set of sevens.
