Atoui Check-Raises Successfully

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Three ways to the {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, the action checked to Johan Espholm and he bet 7,500. Simon Taberham and Kamel Atoui both called and the {2-Spades} turn paired the board. It checked to Espholm once more and he made it 14,000 to go. Taberham came along and Atoui now check-raised to 55,000.

The reluctant fold of Espholm was followed by a quick fold from Taberham and the second bullet of Atoui was off to a good start.

Ayoub Calls Correctly

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jules Ayoub bet the three-way flop of {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} for 4,800 and Nevoh Yemini was the only one to check-call. The {q-Hearts} turn was checked and Yemini bet the {5-Clubs} river for 11,500. Ayoub was more talking to himself than anyone else and eventually called to announce a straight.

Yemini nodded and mucked his cards as Ayoub tabled the {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} as the winning hand.

Jan Peter Jachtmann
Jan Peter Jachtmann

Jan-Peter Jachtmann headed out of the tournament area after his flopped nuts with the {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} went down in flames in a three-way pot.

On the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} board, the {k-}{q-}{j-}{8-} of Omar Eljach ended up third-best while Tomasz Gluszko rivered the full house with the {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-}{9-} to earn the large pot.

Nagy Doubles Through Gsuck

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With some 60,000 in the middle to the {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{k-Spades} river, [Removed:308] bet and then sigh-called the shove of Gergo Nagy for 61,600 total.

Nagy tabled the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades} with exposing the jacks full first. "You hit one out," Gsuck said in table chat as she revealed the {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades} for eights full of treys.

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Veselin Karakitukov
Veselin Karakitukov

The cards of Ahmad Achegsei were all but mucked as he quickly left the tournament area. On a board of {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}, he had flopped the king-high flush with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs} but it was no good. Veselin Karakitukov had the superior hand in {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} and claimed the stack of his table neighbour.

Rabl Scores a Double Knockout

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jonas Kronwitter
Jonas Kronwitter

The action escalated on the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop when Vehbi Davul bet 8,000 and Jonas Kronwitter raised to 32,000. Didier Rabl check-raised the pot and Davul as well as Kronwitter then jammed, Rabl called with the biggest stack of around 160,000.

Jonas Kronwitter: {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Vehbi Davul: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Didier Rabl: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The {3-Spades} turn improved Rabl to the nut flush and the {6-Diamonds} river failed to pair the board, sending the massive pot to Rabl.
