Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Krasimir Yankov
Krasimir Yankov

The completed board was {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and there was around 250,000 in the pot.

Patrick Clarke had checked to Krasimir Yankov who fired a 205,000 bet.

Clarke tanked for a couple of minutes and after looking at his opponent, he counted out chips for a call which he did moments later.

Yankov turned over {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a full house and won the big pot leaving Clarke with less than 20 big blinds.

New Big Stacks Emerge

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Josef Gulas Jr and Guillaume Diaz have emerged as new big stacks and the latter just won a small pot to jump above 1.5 million in chips. As the preflop aggressor, Diaz checked behind the {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop and {a-Diamonds} turn. On the {q-Diamonds} river, Alessio La Francesca bet 24,000 and Diaz raised to 115,000.

Without much hesitation, La Francesca called and then shrugged in surprise when Diaz tabled {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the broadway straight.

With the board reading {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, Tony Tran check-called Volodymr Legkyi's bet of 100,000.

Tran checked the {q-Clubs} river and Legkyi bet 100,000 again. Tran ended up folding and remarking "I'll bust to any of you guys, but not that guy."

Elsewhere, Adnan Toric, who was the victim of a big Andrea Ricci bluff late last night was eliminated.

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Boris Angelov raised from early position to 25,000. Jan Peter Jachtmann next to him, made it 70,000 and Sasa Lalos bumped it to 175,000.

Angelov folded but not Jachtmann, who didn't waste any time before shoving all-in for 858,000.

Lalos went in the tank for a couple of minutes and Jachtmann told him ''There is not shame in folding''. Lalos smiled and then folded.

La Francesca Strikes Back Against Diaz

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Heads-up to the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs} turn, Guillaume Diaz checked his option and Alessio La Francesca bet 175,000 for Diaz to call. Both then checked the {a-Diamonds} on the river and Diaz tabled the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for kings and checks. La Francesca was relieved as his {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} had turned superior two pair to win the pot.

Gulas Jr Chips Up Further

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Following a {q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, Pablo Theobald checked out of the big blind and Josef Gulas Jr bet 12,000 on the button. Theobald check-raised to 35,000 and Gulas Jr came along. Both then checked down the {5-Clubs} turn and {3-Spades} river for Theobald to announce king-high and tabled the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

"No good," Gulas Jr said, shook his head and exposed his {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} to chip up further close to the money bubble.
