Ion Tabacaru's short stack of 90,000 was already in the middle when Lukas Pazma shoved for 1,100,000 on the button. Iman Ghashayar took some time before sliding in the call.

Another five minutes are gone and three players see their chances vanish in quick succession. Zlatin Penev was the first to fall followed by Andrea Zacharova.

Last but not least, Marin Dragutan flopped top pair with the Q♣5♦ on Q♥10♠3♠ to get it in against Andras Balogh with the 5♠2♠. The 4♥ turn brought an open-ended straight draw on top and the A♠ river provided the flush.

That reduced the field to the last 32 contenders, who are now spread across four tables.

The recent all-in showdowns saw the departures of Caren Pidjoian and Christian Ewers with Christian Bertu jumping into a big stack. It was then also Bertu who raised and Iman Ghashayar defended the big blind.

The Q♥J♥10♠ flop saw Ghashayar check-shove for 1,665,000 and Bertu called with the superior stack.

Bertu's open-ender picked up some further outs with the 8♥ turn but the 7♥ river changed nothing. Despite four hearts on the board, Ghashayar held on for a large double.

Three-way action on the 6♣Q♣5♦ flop saw Stephan Glausch fire out a bet of 200,000 from middle position. Stefan Pezzarossa called on the button while Florin Bilan check-folded in the small blind.

The J♥ turn saw Glausch slide out another bet, this time for 500,000. That was enough to produce a fold from Pezzarossa, as Glausch continued adding to his growing stack.

Heads-up to the A♥J♣10♦ flop, Emil Bise checked and Lukas Pazma bet 300,000. What followed was the check-shove by Bise for 1,225,000 and Pazma reluctantly folded.

Soon after that, the turn showed 9♦5♠4♦8♣ and Christian Bertu checked out of the small blind. Wladimir Gerner bet 350,000 out of the big blind and Tawfik Samih called in an early position. Bertu then moved all-in and forced out both opponents.

In the final hand of the level, the three-way flop showed J♠9♣4♥ and William Kang had checked out of the big blind. Frank Leykauf bet 180,000 for Jacques Scherer to call on the button. Kang then jammed for 1,020,000 and Leykauf reluctantly folded.

Scherer bemoaned that he only had thirty percent, which was great news for the jovial Kang. Eventually, Schewer folded his K♣Q♠ and Kang first flashed the J♥.

"Your queen was dead," he added as he also flashed the Q♦ right after.

"And my pocket tens were dead," Leykauf added with a big grin on the face.
