Kubenka Gets Short and Doubles

Level 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Lukas Pazma was all-in with the JJ and in trouble against fellow countryman Petr Kubenka, who had him pipped with the QQ.

Pazma took the lead on the J63 flop but had an additional sweat to fear on the 8 turn. However, the 6 river was a blank and Pazma doubled.

Down to the last 145,000, Kubenka jammed in the next hand and chip leader Wladimir Gerner reraised to isolate from the small blind.

Petr Kubenka: AK
Wladimir Gerner: KJ

The A1057J board kept Kubenka in contention, while Gerner took a minor hit to his massive stack.

Cemil Kaya raised to 75,000 off a stack of around half a million and Emil Bise then pushed all-in with the covering stack. That sent Kaya into the tank and he eventually called it off.

Once Bise rolled over the A9, Kaya sighed and exposed the dominated A6.

Level 25 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Iman Ghashayar opened the action with a raise to 60,000 from under the gun and received a single caller in Zeljko Gadzic out of the big blind. On a flop of Q107, Gadzic check-called for 55,000 and both opted to check down the 6 on the turn.

After the 10 river, Gadzic checked again and Ghashayar made it 190,000 to go. That was reluctantly paid off by Gadzic, who mucked queen-jack when he was shown the AQ by Ghashayar.
