Kim Runs Into a Bigger Flush

Gab Yong Kim and Adrian Mateos were heads up in a pot of 150,000 chips. Kim checked to Mateos from middle position on the board of 2♦A♥5♦J♦ and the latter put forth a bet of 60,000 from the hijack. Kim made the call and the river fell the 7♥.

Kim checked once again and faced a 185,000 bet once Mateos' turn had ended. Kim made a quick call and Mateos revealed Q♦10♦ for the queen-high flush.

Kim tabled 9♦7♦ for a lesser flush, meaning that the pot was sent Mateos' way.

Adamszki Takes From Ketzer

Tamas Adamszki raised to 20,000 and Felipe Ketzer was the only caller in the small blind. The duo headed to the K♠7♣5♦ flop on which Ketzer checked, Adamszki bet 45,000 and received a call.

Fast forward to the Q♠ turn, Ketzer checked again and Adamszki made it 180,000 to go in order to shut down his opponent.

Ketzer Leads Into Kim

Gab Yong Kim made it 19,000 from the button and Felipe Ketzer defended his big blind. Kim then bet 28,000 chips on the 2♣5♦10♣ flop and Ketzer made the call after first having checked.

The 6♣ turn was then dealt and Ketzer took the initiative by leading for 35,000. Kim made the call and the 4♠ river completed the board.

Ketzer now upped the ante to 53,000, and Kim made another call. Ketzer showed his 10♥6♦ for turned two pair and Kim quickly mucked his cards while nodding in acknowledgment.

Kisacikoglu Wins Small Pot Without Showdown

Without any major action prior to the 5♠4♣3♥6♥ turn, Stephen Chidwick in the under-the-gun position check-called a bet worth 18,000 by Orpen Kisacikoglu on the button.

Chidwick checked the 9♣ on the river and Kisacikoglu bet 75,000 to win the pot uncontested.

Zhou Strikes Back Against Kim

Teun Mulder raised to 13,000 and Felipe Ketzer called. Tamas Adamszki then squeezed to 45,000 on the button only for Mulder to make it 160,000 to go. Ketzer folded and so did Adamszki.

Gab Yong Kim then opened to 14,000 and received no fewer than three callers. The Q♦9♠7♠ flop saw Quan Zhou in the small blind and Mulder in the big blind check. Kim bet 38,000 to force out Ben Heath, Zhou called and Mulder folded.

After the A♥ turn, Zhou check-called for 90,000 and opted to lead the 5♠ river for 255,000 with what appeared to be 280,000 behind.

Kim went deep into the tank and used four time bank extensions before folding.

Leonard Maue raised to 13,000 from under the gun and Francisco Benitez made it 13,000 to go from the button. The rest of the table folded before Maue made the call.

Maue then checked on the 3♣A♦3♠ flop and quickly folded once 30,000 chips had been bet by Benitez.

Zhou Takes Two Hits

Ben Heath raised and was called by Quan Zhou in the small blind, who then checked the J♦3♣2♠ flop and called Heath's bet of 13,000. They checked the 6♠ turn and Zhou led the 5♦ river for 25,000.

Heath raised to 135,000 and Zhou went in the tank, after which Adrian Mateos called the clock on him. Before any count down was given, Zhou called and Heath had the best of it with the K♥4♥.

Tamas Adamszki then opened to 15,000 and Chris Brewer three-bet to 45,000 from one seat over. Zhou clicked it up to 129,000 and it folded back to Adamszki, who used one time bank before moving all-in.

Brewer folded and the same also applied for Zhou as well.
