Tran Still With a Commanding Lead

Before the blinds had gone up, Duc Tuan Tran min-raised and Anthony Mahaut called in the blinds. Mahaut checked and folded the K♠J♠2♣ flop when Tran bet 140,000.

Mahaut then complained that he could not see the entire stack of the chip leader, after which Tran re-organised his chips accordingly.

Mahaut raised to 200,000 in the new level but folded when Maurice Nass jammed.

Nass was then involved in a limped pot where he bet the A♠7♠5♣Q♦ turn for 150,000 and the K♣ river for 300,000. Traian Stanciu called and was good with the A♣4♠ for top pair, as Nass only briefly exposed his cards.

Maurice Nass ripped in his stack of 940,000 from the hijack and Bogdan Tilica rejammed from the small blind with a slightly larger stack. The big blind folded and the cards went on their backs.

Neither player paired their hole cards on the 4♥10♥7♦5♦7♥ board, resulting in Nass' ace-king kicker doubling him up.

Tilica, meanwhile, was left with just two big blinds as the level went up the next hand.

Duc Tuan Tran opened to 160,000 on the button before Theodoor Woolschot moved all in for 2,000,000 from the small blind. Tran took some time considering his decision, making the call and turning over his hand.

Tran cheered as he saw his jacks in the lead, cheering once more when a set appeared in the window of the J♥2♦K♦ flop. The 6♠9♣ runout ended Woolschot's run with a seventh-place finish for €7,550.

Duc Tuan Tran raised to 160,000 and earned calls from Theodoor Woolschot in the next seat as well as Maurice Nass in the big blind. The A♠10♦6♠ flop was checked to Tran, who bet 200,000 and won the pot. Tran flashed his A♣Q♠ before raking in the pot.

Tran then raised to 160,000 from under the gun, finding no resistance.

Traian Stanciu limped the small blind the hand thereafter and Tran grinned "no fold?" from the other side of the dealer. Stanciu shook his head but quickly folded when Tran raised to 340,000.

Roland Israelashvili open-jammed his 640,000 chips in the middle from middle position. The action then folded to Theodoor Woolschot in the cutoff, and he put in 160,000 chips, not having seen Israelashvili's action.

A ruling was made that since Woolschot verbally declared his raise, he was forced to make a min-raise. He followed the ruling and the other players got out of the way to create a heads up showdown.

Neither player hit anything on the K♥8♣3♦Q♥7♠ board, meaning that Woolschot's ace-high eliminated Israelashvili in eight place.

Israelashvili made a deep run, but it turned out to be yet another final table without a win for the all-time leader in WSOP cashes.

Jedryczka pondered for a while before moving in for 1,680,000. Tran snap called with the bigger stack and the cards went on their backs.
