A Sad State of Affairs

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Adrian State shoved for his last 200,000 from the cutoff and was called by Ioannis Chaitas in the big blind to be put at risk.

Adrian State: A9
Ioannis Chaitas: 77

The 876 flop improved Chaitas to a set, but State was still drawing live to a straight.

It wasn't meant to be, however, as the 8 turn improved Chaitas to a full house and left State drawing dead.

An irrelevant 9 completed the board and State was sent to the payout desk.

Davenport's Cowboys Send Arifovski and Boutaleb Out

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Mikael Hen opened to 40,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Djamal Boutaleb, who shoved for approximately 370,000. Djadid Arifovski also went all in for less on the button, and Matthew Davenport also went all in for around 1,200,000. Hen got out of the way and a three-way showdown was held.

Djadid Arifovski: AQ
Djamal Boutaleb: 44
Matthew Davenport: KK

The board ran out 9Q957 — keeping Davenport's kings in the lead for the double knockout.

Ketzer Shows a Bigger Pair to Bust Skolin

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Felipe Ketzer and Vincent Skolin had tangled with each other in a few pots so far today, and their latest encounter would prove to be their final one.

Ketzer had a raise to 100,000 in front of him from early position and Skolin called under the gun. The flop came 469 and Ketzer bet enough to put Skolin all in, and Skolin called for around 300,000.

Vincent Skolin: 77
Felipe Ketzer: 88

Skolin had run into a bigger pair and the board ran out 103 to send him off to collect his payout.

Landi Silences Kabrhel

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Amato Landi moved all in from the button, having both blinds, including Martin Kabrhel, well covered.

Kabrhel had around 90,000 in the big blind and tanked for several minutes before Jason Wheeler called the clock.

"It's a five big blind shove," Wheeler said. Kabrhel eventually gathered all his chips in a bundle in his hand and pushed them in the middle.

Martin Kabrhel: A2
Amato Landi: AJ

The 3103 flop left open the possibility of a chop, but Landi hit the J on the turn to leave Kabrhel drawing dead and heading for the exit by the 6 river.

Taborsky Busts in Double Elimination to Burst The Money Bubble

Level 18 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
David Taborsky bubble boy

Anthony Mahaut opened to 35,000 first-to-act and David Taborsky shoved for his last 256,000 from early position. Rostyslav Sabishchenko also went all in for around 600,000 from the hijack and action folded back around to Mahaut, who called to put both players at risk.

David Taborsky: QQ
Rostyslav Sabishchenko: KK
Anthony Mahaut: AA

It was a clash of the three best hands in Hold'em. The board ran out A4375 — needlessly improving Mahaut's aces to a set for the double elimination.

Since Taborsky was the shortest stack, he was eliminated in 261st place and Sabishchenko secured a min-cash of €1,880.
