Mehamed Tries a Hero Call Against Goossens

Level 17 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Guy Goossens raised to 25,000 under the gun and Alan Mehamed three-bet to 80,000 in the hijack. The table folded back around to Goossens and he called.

The flop came 538 and Mehamed continued for 60,000. Goossens called and the 7 fell on the turn.

Mehamed then bet another 225,000 and Goossens, wearing his hood low over his head, called to the 4 river.

Goossens then moved all in for 386,000 and Mehamed tanked for a minute before calling. Goossens turned over 65 for the rivered straight and Mehamed mucked his cards before the dealer exposed his AK.

Reigning WSOP Europe champion Omar Eljach, already with a bracelet this year, has seen a slow start to his day.

Level 17 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ziyang Cheng shoved for his last 127,000 from the cutoff and was called by Gianluca Cabitza in the small blind to be put at risk.

Ziyang Cheng: A4
Gianluca Cabitza: 88

Cabitza was ahead with his eights, but the 10Q73Q runout left Cheng best with the nut flush and he doubled his stack.

Robert Fluereci: AQ
Fabio Anobile: J10

Fluereci stayed in front on the 43K flop. The turn was the 8, but the J fell on the river.

Jaby Makes Monari Fold on the Turn

Level 17 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Cedric Jaby raised to 25,000 from middle position, and was called twice: by Paul Kohan in the cutoff and Emanuele Monari in the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of 1042, and Jaby bet 50,000. Kohan quickly folded, but Monari check-called.

Then on the turn 4, Monari took the lead and bet 25,000. Jaby immediately grabbed three green chips worth 25,000 each and threw them in front of him.

Monari went into the tank and counted his stack. But he eventually chose to fold.

Neziri Forces a Fold From Kabrhel

Level 17 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel opened to 29,000 and was called by Massimiliano Patroncini in the cutoff. Sabri Neziri then squeezed to 85,000 and only Kabrhel called.

Both players checked on the 26K flop and then Kabrhel led out for 60,000 on the A turn. Neziri called.

The 8 completed the board and Kabhrel checked once more. Neziri announced he was all in and Kabrhel snap-folded — sending the pot Neziri's way.

Touri Whiffs Everything Against Felicetti

Level 17 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Three-handed on a flop of A2K, Yunho Choi bet 35,000 from middle position and Adil Touri raised to 80,000 in the hijack.

Roberto Felicetti then slid forward a stack of the green 25,000 chips for a bet of 500,000, covering the remaining stack of both Choi and Touri. Choi gave the decision some thought before mucking after a minute. Touri, though, called for his last 250,000.

Adil Touri: QJ
Roberto Felicetti: AQ

Felicetti had top pair, while Touri had a royal flush draw. The board ran out 55 and Touri missed all of his outs as Felicetti loudly clapped his hands together in celebration while Touri made his exit.

Traut Folds Ace-Queen Preflop

Level 17 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On the last hand before the break, Junhyoung Ki opened to 26,000 from the hijack. But Heinz Traut in the small blind three-bet to 81,000.

The big blind folded, and Ki quickly moved all in for more than one million chips. With a way smaller stack, Traut went into the tank for several minutes. In fact, he was the only player left who had to make a decision in the room.

But he eventually folded, revealing AQ. "Oh, wow," said Ki, who showed a Jx.
