Turjak Runs Into Khachaturyan's Monster

Level 28 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Jan Turjak
Jan Turjak

Jan Turjak raised to 150,000 in middle position and Stepan Khachaturyan called in the hijack.

The flop came 2410 and Turjak tossed out another 400,000. Khachaturyan spent a few minutes counting out his stack and at one point seemed poised to move in as Turjak motioned to call.

The dealer stopped Turjak as Khachaturyan continued to tank. He eventually did move all in for 1,145,000 and Turjak snap-called.

Stepan Khachaturyan: 1010
Jan Turjak: JJ

Turjak let out a loud moan when he found out Khachaturyan had flopped top set. The turn came the 9, followed by the 10 river as Khachaturyan made quads to double up.

Di Nicola Puts Stroke in the Blender

Level 28 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Shawn Stroke opened to 140,000 from under the gun and called when Ermanno Di Nicola made it 350,000 from the button.

The A109 flop checked through to the K turn. Stroke check-called for 200,000.

On the 6 river, Stroke made a third check, and Di Nicola sized up to 400,000.

Stroke audibly groaned over the spot and began listing some of the hands he beat and the hands that beat him.

"Ace-six?" questioned Stroke but Di Nicola didn't budge.

Stroke began listing some more hands that Di Nicola could have which resulted in Stroke calling.

Di Nicola tabled A6 for two pair, aces and sixes and Stroke conceded the pot.

Flush for Audziunin

Level 28 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Julien Loire raised to 125,000 from middle position, and Kiryl Audziunin was the only one to call from the big blind.

On a flop of 5A4, Loire bet 100,000, and Audziunin check-called. Then Loire fired a second barrel of 200,000 on the turn J. Audziunin called again. But on the river A, neither Loire nor Audziunin took the risk to bet.

First player to reveal his cards, Audziunin showed 76 for a flush. Loire looked at the board and mucked his cards.

Turjak Calls Off Light; Paleologos Hits the River on Wheeler

Level 29 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Jason Wheeler

Jan Turjak raised to 170,000 on the button before Tobias Peters moved all in. Turjak spent a moment in the tank before calling off his last 1,000,000.

Jan Turjak: K4
Tobias Peters: A6

The flop came A2Q and Peters moved further in front with a pair of aces. The 8 turn or 3 river wasn't any help to Turjak and he was sent to the rail.

"If he goes all in, do you call," a tablemate asked Peters.

"For 1,000,000, I call 100 percent," Peters replied.

At another table, action folded to Jason Wheeler in the small blind who shoved for his last 230,000. Andreas Paleologos called in the big blind.

Jason Wheeler: K4
Andreas Paleologos: J8

Both players picked up a flush draw on the 529 flop, while the 9 turn kept Wheeler's king-high in the lead. The river, though, brought the 8 and Paleologos made two pair to bust Wheeler.

Vadzim Lipauka
Vadzim Lipauka

Andras Balogh moved all in for 955,000 in early position before Vadzim Lipauka reshoved next to act. Dennis Magro then went in the tank from the small blind.

"I know I win this one," he said as he eventually folded.

Andras Balogh: 66

Lipauka had Balogh crushed heading to the 7109 flop, which improved him to top set.

"Maybe not," a tablemate told Magro as the J fell on the turn. The river was the K and Balogh was busted, while Magro admitted he folded ace-queen and would've made a straight.

"Give me my chips," he joked with Lipauka after the hand.
