Hertsel Levy raised to 200,000 under the gun, then called when Cristian David moved all in for 475,000 in the big blind.
Cristian David: K♦6♦
Hertsel Levy: 10♠10♦
"I only looked at the king. Let's see a miracle," David said, and he got his wish on the 2♦K♠9♠ flop with a pair of kings.
The board ran out 4♥9♦ and David doubled up.
The next hand, Renji Mao raised to 200,000 in the cutoff. "Let's go," David said, shoving again for 1,000,000. Mao tanked for a minute but ultimately mucked.
After Ermanno Di Nicola opened to 200,000 from middle position, Istvan Toth to his left three-bet all in for 840,000. In the small blind, Radek Panoch asked for the count and four-bet shoved with a bigger stack. Di Nicola quickly folded.
Istvan Toth: A♥10♦
Radek Panoch: A♠Q♠
Toth had a flush draw on the flop K♦9♦A♦, but was still on the edge of elimination after the turn 9♠. However, he was lucky enough to hit the 9♥ on the river, which gave both players a full house, resulting in a split pot.
Heads-up on a flop of K♥4♥9♠, Xhavit Berisha bet 150,000 from early position and Ermanno Di Nicola called in the big blind.
The turn came the 4♠ and Berisha bet another 300,000. Di Nicola again called and the A♣ fell on the river.
Di Nicola checked over to Berisha, and this time Berisha flashed him the K♠ as he checked behind. Di Nicola mucked and Berisha revealed his full hand of K♠10♥ as he took the pot.
Samuel Stranak opened to 200,000 from under the gun and Daniel Bussman called from the big blind.
Bussman check-called bets of 165,000 and 300,000 on the flop and turn for the final board to read Q♥10♠2♥Q♠7♠.
Bussmann, with 700,000 behind, checked for a third time. Stranak, the bigger stack, moved all in and Bussman snap-called.
Stranak went runner-runner with his K♠6♠ to make a flush which enraged Bussmann. Phil Hellmuth may not be at the WSOPE, but Bussmann produced a fitting homage as he slammed his cards onto the table in disappointment. As he left, the dealer turned over his A♦2♦ which then went into the muck.
In a blind versus blind situation, Michele Zullo in the small blind and Renji Mao discovered a flop of 7♣10♦5♣. After they agreed on 250,000 preflop, both of them added 100,000 to the pot.
But on the turn 3♥, Zullo decided to go all in for 1,200,000 chips. Mao when deep into the tank, but eventually called.
Michele Zullo: J♣8♣
Renji Mao: Q♣7♦
Mao called with the best hand. But the terrible 8♥ landed on the river, to give a better pair to Zullo.
Down to 125,000, Mao moved all in on the next hand from the small blind. He faced Zullo on the button and Dennis Magro in the big blind, who checked all the way through the board Q♠2♥4♦3♥4♠.
Renji Mao: 10♣2♣
Michele Zullo: A♦3♦
Dennis Magro: 8♦2♠
Mao didn't find any help, so he was eliminated just before the break.
