D'Alterio Takes a Huge Pot from Coknez and a Cockney

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Luigi D'Alterio
Luigi D'Alterio

Three players saw the flop of KQ5 with 12,600 in the middle. Barny Boatman in the big blind bet 4,000 and was called by Halil Coknez in the cutoff and Luigi D'Alterio on the button.

Boatman continued for 7,000 on the A turn which was called by both Coknez and D'Alterio.

The 2 completed the board and Boatman checked. Coknez announced all in and was called by D'Alterio for 19,500. Boatman folded JJ face up. Coknez said he had a flush but was unwilling to table his hand.

D'Alterio turned over K8 for the second nut flush while the dealer turned over Coknez's hand of 107 for the lesser flush which gave D'Alterio a substantial pot.

Baranyai Bets on the River to Take the Pot

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Nathan Jones opened to 800 from the hijack, then Dragoljub Martinovic on the button and Patrick Baranyai in the big blind called.

On a flop of 38Q, Jones continued with a bet of 1,100. Martinovic folded, but Baranyai called.

The 8 turn brought no more action, as the two remaining players checked. But on the river Q, Baranyai took the lead and bet 2,000. In front of him, Jones prefered to fold.

"(Four) the Glory"

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Under the gun, Nolan Curatolo seemed to hesitate but folded. Maybe for the best as Vincent Skolin opened from the button, and Andrei Spataru three-bet to 3,200 from the small blind.

The big blind folded, and after a few seconds, Skolin four-bet to 8,600. Spataru looked at him, and eventually folded.

For PokerNews, Skolin revealed the 4 before showing it to the other players. "For the glory", laughed Spataru, while Skolin was scooping the pot.

Miniucchi Chips Up

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Jan Wieckenberg bet 700 from under-the-gun and was called by Marcello Miniucchi in the cutoff. Joao Tomas raised to 3,000 from the button which gained a fold from Wieckenberg, but Miniucchi made the call.

Tomas continued on the K82 flop for 1,600 which Miniucchi called. The 6 came on the turn and Miniucchi opted to lead out for 4,000 which was called by Tomas.

Both players checked the A on the river and Miniucchi turned over K3 which was enough for Tomas to throw his cards into the muck.

Ohl Puts Gehrmann Through the Ringer

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Big Pot for Birger Ohl
Big Pot for Birger Ohl

With 32,000 in the middle on the completed board of Q426A, Birger Ohl bet 16,000 from the big blind which caused Michael Gehrmann in the cutoff to grimace and mutter under his breath.

Gehrmann deduced was in the belief that Ohl had a naked A and opted to make the call. Gehrmann was half right in his assessment as unfortunately, Ohl tabled AJ for the nut flush. Gehrmann opted to table 53 for his beaten straight.
