Hallay Gets Paid

Level 15 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Nacho Barbero raised to 50,000 from middle position and the action folded to Axel Hallay, who defended the big blind. Hallay then check-called the 40,000 continuation-bet of Barbero on the J35 flop before both players checked the J turn.

The A river appeared and Hallay opted to lead out for 130,000 chips. Barbero spent two time bank extensions before making the call, but mucked his cards once he saw the A10 of his opponent, who had rivered top pair.

Barbero Wins Blind Battle

Level 15 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Nacho Barbero called in the small blind and Aliaksandr Shylko checked his big blind option to the KQ8 flop.

A bet and call of 25,000 was exchanged to the 9 turn, where both players checked. Two more checks followed the Q river, and the hands were turned up.

Barbero showed A10, taking down the pot when Shylko slowly revealed A4. Barbero then took down the blinds by moving all in from the button on the next hand to pad his stack a little bit.

Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Daniel Dvoress raised from early position before Patrik Jaros made it 150,000 to go from the button. Quan Zhou then came in with a cold four-bet to 400,000 from the small blind before the action was back on Dvoress.

He decided to jam all in for 1,675,000, being covered by Jaros, but covering Zhou. Jaros spent a few minutes in the tank before slamming in the call, after which Zhou open-folded his JJ.

Daniel Dvoress: KK
Patrik Jaros: QQ

Mustafov Doubles Through Hallay

Level 16 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Axel Hallay open-jammed for 435,000 chips from early position and Fahredin Mustafov was the only caller, putting his stack of 160,000 at risk.

Fahredin Mustafov: Q10
Axel Hallay: 88

Mustafov flopped a flush draw on 234. The rest of the table was rooting for a chop, but Mustafov locked up the pot on the 9 turn. The 9 river was dealt as a formality while Hallay paid his dues to Mustafov.

Bujtas Puts the Pressure on Shylko

Level 16 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

On a completed board of 95J8J, Aliaksandr Shylko checked from the small blind to Laszlo Bujtas in the big blind. Bujtas then jammed all in, covering the 475,000 stack of Shylko.

With around 600,000 in the pot before this, Shylko went deep into the tank. After a few time bank extensions, he opted to fold and grant the pot to Bujtas, who neared the two-million mark after raking in the chips.

One hand later, Axel Hallay departed from this table to bring the field down to four tables remaining.
