Brandl's Full House Sends Handula to the Rail

Level 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Alexander Brandl
Alexander Brandl

PokerNews joined the action as Jan Handula went all in from the big blind with 63,000, facing calls from Alexander Brandl in the cutoff and Mitra Bapir on the button.

The players checked all the way to the river on a board of JJ885. On the river, Brandl bet 80,000, but Bapir opted to fold. Handula seemed resigned to his fate, and the showdown confirmed it: Brandl revealed 55 for a full house, while Handula's AK was only ace high. Handula was eliminated, while Brandl added a significant boost to his stack.

Troyanovskiy Shoves on Bonder, Shows a Deuce

Level 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy raised to 16,000 in early position, Amir Bonder three-bet to 32,000 on the button, and Troyanovskiy called.

The flop came KJ5 and Bonder continued for 22,000. Troyanovskiy then raised to 240,000, enough to put Bonder all in, and Bonder tanked for a minute before folding. Troyanovskiy flashed the 2 as he took the pot.

Muratovic Flipped Out

Level 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Nisad Muratovic was down to 35,000, which he tossed in from the hijack. Arash Karimkhanzand made the call in the cutoff before the rest of the table folded.

Nisad Muratovic: A10 All in
Arash Karimkhanzand: 88

The Q66 flop provided no help to Muratovic, and the 8 turn left him with no outs left to hit. The 10 river was useless against Karimkhanzand's full house, seeing Muratovic book an early departure.

Brodersen Eliminated After Back-to-Back All-Ins

Level 20 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

First, Andreas Brodersen lost an all-in showdown to Lishai Heshbon with AJ against A10 on a board of 910625. In the very next hand, Brodersen moved all in from under the gun, and it seemed like he might steal the blinds as everyone folded. But Peter Kamaras, in the small blind, decided to call, and they went to a showdown.

Andreas Brodersen: A9
Peter Kamaras: 44

Brodersen caught a nine on the 298 flop, but Kamaras had multiple outs for a flush or a set. The 4 on the turn sealed Brodersen’s fate, giving Kamaras a set of fours. Brodersen was eliminated, and Kamaras added to his already impressive stack.

Balli Takes Out Wuerfel, Decher Not Ready to Gamble

Level 20 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Christian Wuerfel moved all in for 118,000 in early position and Berkan Balli reshoved for 320,000 in the hijack. Action then folded to Ionut Decher in the big blind who tanked for a moment.

"Gamble," Balli told him.

"No gamble," Decher eventually said as he got out of the way.

Christian Wuerfel: AQ All in
Berkan Balli: AK

Balli had Wuerfel dominated as the 887 opened the possibility of a chop. The K fell on the turn to give Balli two pair, while Wuerfel was already drawing dead and heading for the exit by the time the 3 fell on the river.

Patkovic Fails to Triple Up

Level 20 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Bosko Patkovic moved all in for 30,000 in early position and was called by Kai Polotzek in the hijack. Ferhat Yolci then rejammed for 119,000 on the button, after which the action folded back to Polotzek.

He weighed his options for a bit before finding a fold, leaving the other two to show down.

Bosko Patkovic: Q10 All in
Kai Polotzek: AQ

Patkovic's dominated hand turned a straight draw on 5J69, but the 4 river bricked out for him to depart the tournament.

"You're a lucky guy," Polotzek told Yolci after the hand. "If we see a flop, you're out."
