Dainius Antanaitis
Dainius Antanaitis

Aspiring World Series of Poker Europe bracelet winners will have all of their poker acumen and ability tested today when Event #10: €2,000 8-Game Mix begins at 4 p.m. local time.

This event features a rotation of No-Limit Hold’em, Seven Card Stud, Omaha Hi-Lo, Razz, Pot-Limit Omaha, Limit Hold’em, Stud Hi-Lo, and 2-7 Triple Draw, ensuring whoever winds up on top at the end will have demonstrated a mastery of different poker disciplines.

In last year’s event, the Lithuanian pro Dainius Antanaitis, known online as “Dainiux,” triumphed over a 97-player field to win €47,770 and his first WSOP bracelet in the only event he planned on playing in the series. “Veni, vidi, vici,” he proclaimed after his win. “I came, I saw, I conquered.” The final table also included Ian Bradley, Swedish online legend Viktor Blom, and two-time bracelet winner Oleksii Kovalchuk. Other past champions of this event include Thomer Pidun, Julien Martini, and Espen Sandvik.

Rabl Plays the Wrong Game, Doubles Anyway

Level 3 : Blinds 400/800, 1,200 ante
Didier Rabl
Didier Rabl

Pot-Limit Omaha

Vladimir Troyanovskiy three-bet to 3,000 in the small blind before Daniel Tafur four-bet to 9,800 in the big blind. Didier Rabl called in the hijack, as did Troyanovskiy and they went three-handed to the A47 flop.

Tafur then bet 28,000 and Rabl called for his last 27,700. Troyanovskiy got out of the way.

Didier Rabl: K752 All in
Daniel Tafur: AKKQ

Tafur was ahead with a pair of aces while Rabl was on flush and straight draws. The 7 turn was safe for Tafur, but the 6 came on the river to give Rabl his flush and earn him a double up.

After the hand, Rabl admitted the only reason he played his hand was because he thought the game was Omaha Hi-Lo.

2-7 Triple Draw

Michael Rodrigues raised under the gun and was called in three spots, those being Symeon Alexandridis on the button and Steven Houghland and Martin Schamaun in the blinds.

Each player drew two cards on the first draw, after which the action checked around. Houghland and Schamaun then exchanged only one card while Rodrigues and Alexandridis still needed two.

The action checked to Rodrigues once more, and this time he bet. Alexandridis and Houghland quickly folded but Schamaun tossed in a call. He drew one card on the final draw before Rodrigues stood pat.

The hand was checked to showdown, where Schamaun's 8x7x5x4x3x took down the pot.
