Andrea Ricci raised to 120,000 in the cutoff. Rachid El Yaacoubi then made it 455,000 to go in the small blind, to which Ricci responded with a four-bet to 900,000.

After spending several time extensions, El Yaacoubi shoved all in for 2,545,000 and Ricci snap called.

Vladas Tamasauskas opened to 120,000 from middle position and Matei Lupascu three-bet to 350,000 from the button. After the blinds folded, Tamasauskas called.

Tamasauskas led out for 130,000 on the 6♠8♦10♣ flop and Lupascu called.

Tamasauskas bet again upon seeing the 3♥ turn, this time for 240,000. Lupascu called again.

The 5♠ hit the river and Tamasauskas used a time extension before he chose to check. Lupascu checked back and Tamasauskas showed Q♠J♠ for a missed gutshot with queen-high. Lupascu had that beat with A♦K♣ for just ace-high.

Andrea Ricci raised to 120,000 in early position. Anson Tsang sat in the hijack and shoved all in for 1,030,000. Ricci tossed in a time bank and then called off with the covering stack.

The 7♥10♣6♦ flop provided no direct help for Ricci, and Tsang locked up the pot on the Q♦ turn. The J♥ river gave Ricci a pair, but Tsang rivered Broadway to double up.

Chipleader Simone Andrian raised to 120,000 as first to act. Stanislaw Miadzel called on the button and the pair went to a flop of A♦3♣4♣, which they both checked.

The Q♥ turn was also checked through before Andrian fired 130,000 on the 10♦ river. Miadzel tossed in a quick call but mucked his cards once Adrian showed Q♣8♣ for a pair of queens.

Miadzel was left with 30 big blinds, which he would lose not much later to be eliminated.

Andrea Ricci raised to 120,000 in the hijack with A♦10♦ and Enrico Camosci flat-called his J♣10♣ in the small blind. Ricci continued for 75,000 on the 8♥3♠5♦ flop and Camosci check-called.

The 5♥ turn then checked through before Camosci fired a huge bet of 420,000 on the 5♣ river. Ricci tanked for a while and then folded the best hand.

Rezaei Decides Not to Unload the Clip

Matei Lupascu raised to 120,000 on the button with Daniel Rezaei and Luka Bojovic calling out of the blinds.

When it checked to Bojovic on the 5♣9♦4♥ flop, he put out a bet of 105,000. Rezaei check-raised to 360,000 from the small blind, which forced a fold from Bojovic in the big blind, but a call from Lupascu.

Rezaei bet 680,000 on the 10♥ turn and Lupascu called.

The A♥ hit the river and both players checked. Rezaei showed 7♠6♠ for a busted straight draw, and Lupascu took down the pot with A♣9♠ for a rivered two pair.

"That's exactly the hand that I did not want to see" Karlic commented as the board ran out 4♠7♦4♥3♠Q♣. Zidek's pocket eights were good at showdown and he doubled up through Karlic.
