Nebojsa Musulin limped in from middle positon and Damjan Radanov came along from the button. Claudio Di Giacomo then raised to 330,000 in the small blind, Musulin moved all in for 500,000, Radanov folded, and Di Giacomo called.

Both players showed nearly the same hand, but Di Giacomo's ten proved the difference as the board ran out 10♥5♣8♣4♠K♠ to give him two pair and send Musulin to the rail in ninth place.

It didn't look good for Alioto and not much help arrived on the 2♥6♠8♦ flop, but he did pick up a gutshot straight draw. Only a nine would keep Alioto alive but neither the K♥ turn nor Q♥ river were the card he was looking for, and he was out in eleventh.

Volodymyr Kokoulin limped in from the cutoff and Claudio Di Giacomo came along from the small blind before Gheorghe Butuc raised to 160,000 in the big blind. Both opponents called and they went three-handed to the A♣K♠10♦ flop.

Butuc then moved all in for 450,000 and Kokoulin folded, but Di Giacomo snap-called.

Both players showed down aces and were poised for a chop, but the board ran out J♣K♦10♥8♦3♦ to give Kostner a flush on the river. Shaar shot back in his seat and knocked his chair on the ground as a count of the chips showed Kostner barely had him covered, sending Shaar to the rail in 13th place.

Heads-up on a board of 10♥3♣J♣A♥, Tomasz Kozub bet 200,000 from the hijack and Florian Surkamp moved all in for 800,000 in the small blind. Kozub snap-called.

"Fade, fade," Surkamp said as he turned over K♣Q♠Q♦10♣ for the nut straight. Kozub also showed A♣K♠Q♥10♠ for the same straight.

"Okay, hit. Club," Surkamp then pleaded heading to the river, which came the A♠ to give Kozub a full house and the massive pot.

"Sometimes you need to fade," Surkamp said, snapping a photo of the board before making his exit in 15th place.

Alioto and Surkamp checked to the river on a board of J♥10♠5♥7♣2♦. Surkamp then bet 100,000. "This is my only chance, if somebody bluffs with king-high," Langrock said. Alioto quickly folded.

Surkamp wasn't bluffing, instead showing 10♦9♣8♣5♦ for a straight as Langrock mucked A♣K♠Q♦7♠ on his way to the exit.
