Bendik Cracks Zhao's Aces on the River
Level 17
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Cheng Zhao bet 25,000 from the hijack on the Q♠J♥5♣ flop before Jan Bendik raised to 75,000 in the cutoff. Zhao then moved all in for 155,000, and Bendik quickly called.
Cheng Zhao: A♣A♠
Jan Bendik: K♥Q♦
Zhao was ahead with his aces against Bendik's top pair as the turn came the 8♠, but Bendik hit the K♦ on the river to make two pair and send Zhao to the rail.
"Unlucky, man," tablemate Martin Kabrhel told Zhao.
"Next time," Zhao added as he made his exit.
